Summery: Sherlock has a heart. And so does Sherlock. And they promise not to tell anyone that they do. Oneshot. A little fluff. R&R
Sherlock marched around the station. Was it so bloody hard to find an Inspector nowadays? Even John had abandoned him, to go out what Sarah something or other.
He growled. He needed to find Lestrade, to talk about this case. Three murders, with no link? He'd found one.
When he battered through the door to an office, he didn't expect to find Sally Donovan, sitting against the wall, sobbing her eyes out.
Of course, Sherlock didn't notice the tears dripping down her face.
"Sally, where's Lestrade, it's important it speak to him now and-"
Sally stood up, rubbing her eyes, and that's when the world's only consulting detective noticed.
"Em, I don't know, he's probably out on duty or something," Sally's voice shook.
"Eh, right," Sherlock said. He was about the leave, when he got a picture of John's disapproving face, and he turned around again, "Sally, what's wrong?"
"Nothing," Sally said quietly. Sherlock nodded, and went to leave, "It's just-"
Sherlock rolled his eyes. He turned around to face her.
"Anderson dumped me again last night, Lestrade probably won't give me this promotion, my mum called again last night and I look so bloody awful," She sniffed, and more tears dripped down her face.
Sherlock didn't know how to handle this.
"Um, well, Anderson's an idiot, I know you've got the promotion- Lestrade told me last night, I don't know who you're mother is, and, er," Sherlock looked her up and down, "You're hair looks different. It suits you,"
Sally smiled, "I dyed it last week,"
"I must have deleted it," Sherlock smiled a little, "Sorry,"
Sally shook her head, "Thank you, Sherlock,"
"Your welcome Sally,"
Sally smiled shyly, "Let's go and find Lestrade,"
She and Sherlock we about to leave the room, when Sally said,
"Don't tell anyone about this please,"
Sherlock nodded, "I won't,"
