They say memories can haunt you, scare you, or relive those days you wish you could replay them over and over again. For Sakura Haruno, the memories of Sasuke were etched into her heart like getting a tattoo permanently on your skin.
Sasuke had been her only crush, she had been crushing on him since she was little and when he left the village she felt as if Sasuke had broken her heart into little pieces that were impossible to put together. She found it impossible to get rid of the memories of when Sasuke left the village and always found herself crying.
Her best friend Naruto had tried to help her saying that he'll find Sasuke and beat him up until the point when he is about to die for leaving Sakura the way she is now but Sakura told him that she appreciated his thoughts but she didn't want Naruto dying too, it will cause even more pain then enough.
She had thought she found someone who could love her back but that was something that will never come true.
Because she then believe that Sasuke may come back but he will never come back for her. The only thing he wanted was revenge. Revenge for his older brother for killing his family. The things he didn't want was love. Especially for her.

The memories she had with him, the day they met, the time in the park when they were already assigned a team and he had gotten mad at her at the park, the day when Orochimaru had given him a curse and she had seen everything, the times when the trained together and were happy. Those times just made her cry even more.

When she tried to heal herself mentally and tried getting rid of her memories and feelings for Sasuke it never worked.
