"Mine's bigger than yours!"
"Noo, give me that. Now mine's bigger."
"Naaa, there's another one. Bigger again!"
Hannibal grins, eyes shining with fondness for the two grown up boys playing in the other room. BA stands in the doorway watching, unable to hide a smirk either.
"I'll let you win the race if you give me the blue one."
"How about you give me Iron Man and I'll let you have Batman."
"Blue one."
"But..."
"Blue one."
"HM!"
Then they're out of the door, chasing each other. Laughing.
When Hannibal peeks inside, he sees a huge Lego city with two equally tall towers. Matchbox vehicles littered all around it.
His heart grows warm with love for his boys. He knows they weren't able to be carefree like this when they were kids. He's glad they've found each other to catch up on their lost childhoods. For some reason it doesn't feel odd.
"Crazy fools." BA steps beside him, squeezing his shoulder. "Gotta love 'em anyway."
"Yeah," the Colonel sighs.
And when two flushed and out of breath ex soldiers enter the living room again, the more adult half of the team takes them in their arms and kisses them soundly.
