China X Hello Kitty: Based off a true story.
Please please please review. This story is dedicated to Momiji Sohma, for which the flame burned brightest in my heart.
It started one late spring day when Japan came over to China's house carrying a couple DVDs and a big tub of hair gel. Japan and China and Hong Kong were going to have a slumber party. The plan was there would be snacks and they would watch some anime and they would try to get their hair to look like people's hair did in shows like Yu-gi-oh or Dragon Ball Z.
The DVD Japan brought was called Hello Kitty Theatre Wizard of Oz. They sat down to watch it. China did not feel love at first sight. At first he thought Hello Kitty was stupid and childish. The movie did not follow the story of the Wizard of Oz very well. The rest of the sleepover was fun and everything ran smoothly, but for some reason, China could not get that Kawaii Kitty out of his mind.
Have you ever had an idea nag at you in your brain so that you cannot find peace until you indulge it. That is what happened to China. A couple days after the party, China found himself researching Hello Kitty on the computer. He visited the Sanrio website. He visited the Hello Kitty wiki. He watched fandom tribute music videos. He looked at Merchandise. Holy shit, there was so much merchandise. China was on the computer for 3 hours just looking at Hello Kitty. China left this experience enchanted by her. Cute, fashionable, Hello Kitty with her fun adventures and simple, childish, yet somehow strangely deep wisdoms.
Yep, China was officially a fanboy. He was also waiting for his cute new merch to arrive in the mail.
