The rain beat down on the tinted window of Klaus's home he had made for himself for the short while he was to stay in this miserable town. He hated the rain, because it forbade him to do the things he wanted and he didn't really like to get wet unwillingly. But in another sense, he enjoyed the rain, the sound of the raindrops hitting the pavement, or anything in its reach was relaxing. He was so agitated because of his hybrids dying, Stefan was hiding something from him, and worst of all; his daughter hated him. He couldn't blame her, she never knew him the way he wanted her to. All she knew him as was a monster who killed anyone who got in his way. He wished he could take it all back, be there for her, and just be a father.

"Will you feel everything I feel?" Lilliana asked with curiosity gleaming in her eyes. She grabbed a nearby knife and held it behind her back, she was careful not to let her father out of her sight.

"I experience pain different Lilli—" He stopped dead in his words when he realized what she was hiding, "What are you up too?" He frowned slightly, not approving of her actions.

"Nothing, I'm just…curious" She pulled the knife out from behind her back, and ran it across the palm of her hand, applying a little pressure, but not too much to where it would bleed, "I guess it won't hurt you if I did this" She took the knife and plunged it into her stomach.

He blinked the memory out of his mind, the memory of his own daughter trying to kill herself because she couldn't take the fact that he was her father. He knew she wanted him to feel the physical pain of the stab, but he didn't feel it. What he felt was much worse, an emotional pain that struck him in the heart, breaking it into pieces. He closed his eyes and rested his head against the back of the chair.

"Lilliana?" He nudged her with his foot, "Are you alright…?" He waited until she was fully healed, and able to cooperate with him, answering him completely so he knew that she was conscious.

"What…?" She replied dazedly, "What happened? Am I…dead?" He looked up at him, her eyes wide with wonder and a hint of fear.

"No…you just had a bit of an accident." He smirked lightly and held his hand out, to help her up.

She pushed his hand away and pushed herself up, "Don't touch me." She glared at him, "If I was 100% dead, I'd haunt your ass" She pushed past him, walking out of her apartment, leaving him to wonder what he had done wrong.

A knock at the door had jolted him awake, he supposed Stefan was back now, he could interrogate him to tell him the truth, he didn't have time to play around anymore. He frowned slightly, standing up, he walked over to the door, hesitating at first, he didn't really want to deal with the younger vampire, but then again, it could be someone else important. He licked his lips and slowly opened the door, "Can I help you?"

"Daddy?"
