Chapter 1: New Stories
"Grrr! You baka!" A girl shouted angrily, raising her fist. "You teme!" Another girl said, getting all up in the first girls face. "Settle down class, please." Their teacher tried to calm them down, but it was no use.
They were Kinera Uzumaki, daughter of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga, and Simono Larenji, princess of the Larenji clan. And as you can tell, they are fierce rivals. "Ugh, you moron, you saw me trying to stand up, so you purposely trip me."
The girl, Kinera Uzumaki ranted as she stood up, combing back her raven colored, unkept hair. Her eyes were of the Hyuga, seeming to admit that she was more on her mother's side. She stood around 5'7, and her face was gentle and without blemish. The only blemish right now was her angry face, which didn't fit her at all.
She wore a orange and blue hoodie similar to Naruto's, with the Uzumaki clan symbol on the back. For pants, orange sweatpants and then blue combat boots. She looked like a mini Naruto, minus her Hyuga features. She really took after her mom in the chest department, a bit earlier then expected.
Then there was the other girl, Simono Larenji. Her eyes were emerald green and very expressive, showing alot of anger as of right now. Her hair was short and light brown, hanging just below her neck. She's growing it out, trying to get it long before graduation day.
She wore a black tank top, along with a black, frilly skirt that ended right at her knees. On her arms were a multitude of green colored bracelets. And she wore black sneakers. "Please, if i wanted to trip you, i sure as hell would have done it." She snarled back, rolling her eyes.
"Aww c'mon guys, this is our last day of academy. Can't you get along." One of the boys asked. "No!" Both girls shouted at him, making him shrink down in his seat. Suddenly a bell rang, and eagerly the students piled out of the door. Simono picked up her bag, and started to trudge out the door. "Hey! You!" Kinera called after her. Simono looked back and growled. "What!"
Kinera pulled out a kunai and pointed it at her. "Fight me!" She shouted, much to the dismay of their teacher. "There will be nothing of the sort." Simono looked down for a bit, before looking back up, grinning mischievously. "Okay, where?" Kinera smirked, putting her kunai up. "Meet me at the entrance to training ground no.1, 8:00 on the dot!"
Simono nodded slowly. "Alright! You're in for a beating, Uzumaki." She laughed lightly, before walking off, jumping off of the building like the rest of the young ninja. Kinera smirked, doing the same, but going a different direction.
Kinera yawned as she walked the streets of New Konoha. The village was modernized, skyscrapers and such towering throughout the village, or rather city. Konoha and many other villages had expanded during the peace, rather known as the Golden Years. But, recently trouble had started brewing in the Land of Iron, something about a terrorist group or something.
Its was 7:39, just a couple more minutes before her bout. Deciding to take the high route, she pounced on top of one of the smaller buildings, jumping from one to the other. "This feels great!" She exclaimed, feeling the wind blow gently against her skin. As she looked down, she noticed one particular person. Simono Larenji.
She was walking towards the training ground, meaning she was planning to accept the challenge after all. Kinera couldn't wait, she swerved in the air so that she would land right on top of the girl. She drew closer and closer, until she was within range to attack. Pulling out a kunai, she tossed it at Simono with extreme precision. And then, Simono turned around and deflected it.
"What!" Kinera gasped. She couldn't stop herself from moving. Simono smiled and grabbed her right out of the air, throwing her to the ground. "Haha, teme!" Kinera hit the ground with a loud thud, causing Simono to laugh happily. "Hmm, finished already?" Kinera gritted her teeth, springing to her feet. "Prepare to get your happy ass kicked!"
Simono nodded and pulled a kunai. Kinera wildy ran up to her, preparing to launch an attack. Simono grinned and tagged a paper bomb to the kunai, before throwing it at her. "Eat that!" "What, you sneak!" Kinera barely dodged it as it dug itself into a tree, exploding. Simono narrowed her eyes, pulling out more.
"Here, i made seconds!" She threw three paper bomb kunai's at the young Uzumaki. Kinera dodged one, then two, but finally the third one hit the ground right in front of her. "Shit!" She said as it blew up. The explosion knocked her back to the ground. Simono then pulled one more paper bomb kunai and threw it right besides Kinera's foot.
When it exploded, Kinera quickly substituted herself with a log, appearing on a tree branch. "Shit, she came prepared." She looked at her arm, it was trickling with blood from a cut. "How did she-" Kinera was stopped by a punch directly to the chin. "Did you forget, we're fighting!" She shouted with a cocky attitude as Kinera fell of the branch. Realizing her situation, she broke her fall with her arms and rolled onto her feet. "You're not gonna win."
Pulling out three shuriken, she tossed them at Simono, who simply pulled a kunai and got ready to deflect. But once they were close, they suddenly stopped. "What!" "Strings, thin wire." Kinera grinned as she reeled the shuriken back with a whip of her hand, resembling a puppet user. "What for!"
"This!" A clone of Kinera came up behind Simono and grabbed her hair. "Let go!" Simono growled as she was lifted into the air. The real Kinera dropped her shuriken and leapt into the air. Once she was close enough she hit her rival in the stomach, making Simono spit out a clump of blood. As quick as Kinera was, she was not quick enough and it splattered on her forehead. "Eww!" Simono realized her chance, grabbing the clone's foot and throwing it into Kinera.
As Kinera was hit, she fell back towards the ground. "You should have made the best of that, cause that's all you gonna get!" Simono gracefully leapt down from the branch, pouncing on Kinera feet first as she crashed into the ground. "Agh!" The Uzumaki girl cried out in sharp pain as Simono repeatedly jumped on her over and over.
"You quit!?" Simono asked triumphantly, grinning down at her. Gritting her teeth, Kinera waited for perfect chance to counter. And it came when for the tenth time Simono went up in the air, ready to pounce down. "No!" Kinera caught her leg and with an uncharacteristic burst of strength, threw her to the side like a ball of paper. "What!" Simono exclaimed right before she kissed the ground, face first of course.
"You'd better get ready, Larenji!" Kinera wasted no time, quickly running at her. As soon as Simono bounced up, she was met with a kick to the face from a very flexible Uzumaki girl named Kinera. The kick threw her off balance. Kinera spinned around and delivered a roundhouse kick to her face. This was enough to knock the girl off her feet. As she was falling to the ground, Kinera quickly weaved seals like Simono was falling in slow-mo. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" A clone caught Simono just before she hit the ground, and threw her back to Kinera.
Simono closed her eyes as she was hit in the jaw by a heated uppercut. Simono cried out in pain as she was sent straight up in the air. Kinera grabbed her arm and flung her to te ground. "Baka!" She snarled as she hit the ground, looking up at a smug looking Kinera.
Simono rolled to her knees, taking a look around. "Hmm, ready to surrender!" Kinera grinned. Simono grinned, making Kinera's grin disappear. Simono pulled a kunai and seemed as if she was rubbing it against the air. A faint glimmer caught Kinera's eye, giving her a horrified look that made Simono grin. "You see, everything that I came in contact with, I wired it with thin metal wire. All tied to various paper bombs!"
"No…" Kinera trailed off, but it was too late. "Oh yea!" Simono cut the wire, and the area around Kinera exploded.
Somewhere in the village, a figure stood atop a building, deeply in his/her thoughts. Then the sound of an explosion shook him out of though. "Hmm…" He looked over towards the trees. "Time to meet my squad I guess."
Kinera made her way out of the smoke cloud with some visible damage. Simono chuckled as the girl fell to the ground. "Face it, I'm smarter." Kinera made her way up to her knees, looking at Simono with a dull stare that started to freak her out. "Hey! Snap out of it!" Simono snapped her fingers, but got no response. "Kinera… you okay?" She actually started to get worried, but didn't want to admit it.
"Take this!" Suddenly Kinera hit Simono with all her strength, knocking her back with a trail of blood leaking from her nose. Kinera smiled when she heard a thud. "I win!" Simono groaned, not being able to move, instead cupping her nose in pain. Kinera pulled some tissue out of her pocket, and blew her own nose. Not blood, but snot. Tearing a fresh piece off, she threw it to Simono, who thankfully grabbed it and wiped her nose.
"Hmm, so you guys are my students? Interesting." Kinera whipped around to see a man approaching them. Simono sat up, looking on in shock and awe. "Sa-Sa…" Kinera trailed off. The man only smirked. "Allow me to introduce myself. Captain of genin squad 7, Sasuke Uchiha."
