Figures in the Night Part 3
"Daisy!" the voice calls again.
"David, where are you?" Daisy says bluntly.
"Daisy! Over here!"

"Daisy! What are you doing out here?"
She spins around only to be facing Sophie in the eye.
"Uh, hi there counselor!"
"Daisy, it's after hours, what are you doing?" Sophie asks sounding disappointed.
"Um, see, I was, uh." She hesitates trying to grab the words she is looking for.
She looks down and sees the boats. She gets an idea that might keep her out of trouble. "THANK YOU!" She thinks. "It's doubtful, but worth a try."
"Ah, see I have an explanation."
"And what would that be Miss Lipenowski?"
"Well, you wouldn't want any of your happy little campers to get hurt now would you?" She begins.
"And what does this have to do with your sneaking out?" Sophie asks a little impatiently. She is surprised Daisy would do this.
"Well this boat," She says pointing to it, "had a hole in it and I decided to patch it up." She half laughs.
Why isn't David coming out to save me? What is he doing? She is getting a little mad.
Sophie takes a closer look at the boat. "Couldn't this wait till tomorrow? It's midnight Daisy!"
"Um, no because I would have forgotten!"
"Where is the patch? I don't see a hole Daisy, what is going on, why are you lying to me?" Sophie seems worried.
"Ah, whada you know, musta fallen off, those tricky boat patches!" Daisy gives her a fake smile. "Well, see ya in the morning!" She starts to walk back up the dock.
"Hold it!" Sophie calls her. "What are you not telling me?"
"Nothing, just saving the lives of my fellow students!" She says sarcastically trying to save David from punishment even though he didn't save her. She is still a little upset though.
"You're lucky I don't report this." Sophie tells her knowing that this is rare for Daisy.
Daisy walked back to the dorm and tries to fall asleep. That was too close, she thinks. David will pay!

Daisy awoke with a start. She groans. Shelby and Jules were at it each other's throats again. Daisy drags herself into the bathroom.
"You're so mean!" Jules wails.
"Get a life." Shelby snaps back. "Maybe that'll teach you not to talk about Scott like that!"
Juliette sits on her bed pouting.
Daisy drags herself back out to the room.
"Ya know David was absolutely no help last night!" Daisy fires out.
"Huh?" Shelby asks.
"He asks me to meet me at the docks and I get caught and..."
"The Prince never comes to save you?" Shelby finishes for her. "Know the feeling."
"Oh." Daisy smiles at her friend.

"David!" Daisy yells running to him.
He is sitting eating his breakfast.
"Hey Daze!" He says excited she's there. "What's shakin?"
"You will be in a minute unless you explain what happened last night!" Daisy threatens.
"What are you talking about? We ate dinner-that's all."
"Not that!"
"Um, ok..." David says innocently.
