It was well past midnight and everyone was sleep. Well... Almost everyone. Some reason, the Kitsune spirit was probably the only inhabitant of the home that was awake. Kokkuri sighed in annoyance. He's been laying in bed for god knows how long... Why couldn't he sleep? Nothing was bothering him, really.

Kokkuri sat up on his futon and shifted his gaze to the open window. "Maybe... If I just get something to drink." He muttered and stood up with a slight grunt and headed into the kitchen.

The house was of course dark but at least his eyes were adjusted to the dark. Once he got to the kitchen, he opened the fridge and squinted his eyes against the now seemingly blinding light. "Eh..." He closed the fridge. Water would be better.

The long white-haired male opened the cabinet and pulled out a small glass.

"Oi, fox. What are you doing up?"

Kokkuri almost fell backwards at the sudden shock. "Gck-! I-Inugami!? What are you doing up?" He yelped. "Why does it concern you?" The short black-haired male snickered. "You aren't doing anything weird are you?" Kokkuri narrowed his eyes at the other. Inugami rolled his eyes. "It may seem hard for you to grasp but I have more decency than to do something to Kohina while she's asleep."

"What did you do?"

"I didn't do anything!" Inugami snarled. "Quiet!" Kokkuri huffed. Inugami groaned in annoyance. "Tuh..."

"I just can't sleep is all." Kokkuri mumbled, filing the glass with tap water. "You as well?" Inugami leaned against the door frame, eyeing the slightly taller man. "What? Too many fantasies of Kohina?" Kokkuri joked. "Perhaps." Inugami didn't seem to catch onto the joke. "...Pedo." The fox shifted his gaze away from the other and took a drink of the water.

The dog spirit lifted himself off the door frame and walked next to him, getting a glass and filling it up with water too. "Worry too much about my darling and your hair will fall out, you know." Inugami grinned. "D-DONT SAY THAT!" Kokkuri shrieked but recieved Inugami's hand over his mouth. "And you tell me to be quiet...! Shut up, fox!"

Kokkuri swallowed quietly and grabbed Inugami's wrist, prying it off. "Dumbass..." He sighed. Inugami said nothing in response surprisingly and drank his water in three or four gulps and placed the now empty glass in the sink.

Kokkuri eyed the other again. Why wasn't he being as hostile? ...Maybe he just really didn't want to wake Kohina. ...Yeah, that's it. Best not give it too much thought. "Why are you staring at me?" Inugami sneered. "By now you would have tried to kill me. That and I wasn't staring...!" Kokkuri huffed. "But you were staring. I know I am more handsome than you but I don't want you looking at me." Inugami mumbled, crossing his arms.

"Excuse me, princess..." Kokkuri sighed.

"Excuse me?"

"Nothing, nothing."

Glaring at the man before him, Inugami took a step back. "Go back to your house, Inugami." The fox spirit shifted his gaze back to the other youkai. "How cruel, for I have done no wr—"

"OUT."

Inugami grunted. He didn't do anything yet so why was he being so grumpy? ...Eh, he's always grumpy. This is why Kohina likes me better. Inugami grinned as he thought this. "Fine, fine. If it appeases Mr. Fox." And with that, Inugami left to go back to his house outside.

Kokkuri massaged his temples and sighed again. Just talking to the dog gave him a headache. He probably still wouldn't be able to sleep now with the headache.
