I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day!
The smile on Cody's face grew even more as he put the bouquet of pink roses in a vase in the middle of the dining room table. He and Savannah have only been dating for the past two months, and if everything goes according to plan, he was going to be telling his girlfriend the three little words every woman wants to hear.
"So, man, are you going to be a man and tell her?" Ted asked his friend over the phone.
"Yes, I plan on doing it tonight. When Savannah and I got together, we decided to take things slow."
"Yeah, yeah. So, what's the plan for tonight?"
"She's at a signing right now. We have dinner reservations and I'm going to take her back to my apartment to give her the gift I bought."
"Ok. Good luck man, I have to get going myself. I'm meeting Haley in about another hour."
"Alright talk to you later."
As soon as Cody got off the phone, he heard his phone beep and smiled when he read the text message from Savannah.
The signing is taking longer than we thought. Will meet u at the apartment ASAP.
Savannah
Cody waited paitently for Savannah. About another hour past by, when he heard a knock on the door. When he opened it, he saw his beautiful girlfriend waiting on the other side for him.
"Hi Cody!" she exclaimed kissing him on the lips before entering his apartment.
"Hey babe, you looked awesome."
"Thanks but I feel exhausted. I never imagined so many people waiting in line for me and John Cena's autograph. Although,they probably wanted his over mine," she said smiling.
Cody smirked as he glanced at the clock. If he and Savannah would have left now, they still could have made their reservations (which Savannah didn't know about). "I have an idea," Cody said as he placed a quick kiss on Savannah's forehead.
"What's that?"
"How about you go take a shower, and we order a Dominos pizza for dinner tonight? We can stay in tonight and watch movies together on the couch."
"That sounds perfect! I will back in a few."
Cody watched his girlfriend walk into the bathroom as he dialed Dominos. After he got off the phone, he placed her present on the dining room table, where he know she would see it.
About 20 minutes later, Savannah walked into the living room in pink lounge pants and her favorite white t-shirt and smiled to Cody again.
"Savannah, do you want your present?"
"Sure," she said happily. "Do you want yours?"
"Sure," he said smiling.
They both walked into the kitchen where he presented Savannah first with the roses and then they both exchanged gifts. Cody opened up the envelope and was shocked at the contents.
"OUR LADY PEACE TICKETS! This is awesome! Thank you."
"Your welcome," Savannah said as she wrapped Cody in a hug. "The concert is in a couple of months, the night before a RAW taping.
"Awesome! Go ahead and open yours now."
Savannah tore into the small gift bag and pulled out two boxes. She opened one, and found diamond earrings. In the other box was a white gold ring with June and May birthstones in tiny heart form.
"Cody, these gifts are so beautiful! I love them!" she exclaimed.
Cody then knew it was time. He took Savannah's hand and took a deep breath. "Savannah, there is something else I want to say."
"What?" she asked confused.
"I...am so in...love with you."
Savannah smiled as she quickly kissed Cody on the lips. "Cody, I love you too," she said confidently.
The two started kissing again, knowing they found the person they wanted to spend all their time with. They continued their mini make out session as the doorbell rang, signaling them their dinner was there.
