SUNSHINE – 8059
Ryohei was the guardian of the sun, for sure, but Gokudera thought Yamamoto fitted the role well, too. It was probably the smile. That bright smile that lifted away sorrows and replaced them with a pounding and a rush of blood in the heart, exciting tingles sprinting across one's skin down to their toe tips and affected everyone.
Or maybe it was just Gokudera. God, Gokudera hoped it was just himself. He didn't want some girl looking at Yamamoto's smile and feeling the same tingles Gokudera felt. He was sure those girls would be nice. He didn't want to have to bomb them.
And the way Yamamoto would cheerfully call his name, no matter how many times Gokudera had snapped at him and told him to get away. That voice just screamed brightness, something that shouldn't be dampened by a dark rain.
Of course, Gokudera decided, Yamamoto could still make the rain something bright. Like now, when the two were holed up in the dugout of the baseball field after a freak storm had rolled in the rain. When Yamamoto opened his arms and Gokudera leant his back against him, feeling his heart beat a merry melody against his back.
Yeah, the sun fit Yamamoto, but then again, there were contradictions with everything else in the world.
