Leaves trickled down, the snow settling in. It was mid-winter, and the sun was blotted out by the grey-blue skies. Clouds of many shapes and forms dotted the horizon and the sky itself, giving off a sentimental feeling. A feeling of nostalgia and bliss towards those who have seen much and those who have felt much. It was a feeling of peace and a momentary acceptance of what has happened. It was where you could fall freely through your thoughts and mind and find yourself. Mid-noon, and rays of sunshine had poked out of the clouds, briefly brightening the dim meadow. A man, somewhere in his thirties, had sat himself on a bench. Seemingly lost with the sheer tranquility of the sky, he had failed to notice a young woman nearly the same age as him. Opposed to his darker attire, a black and white pinstriped suit, with a purple tie to top it off, she wore a heavenly white sundress, a smile that would've made a child feel loved at a moment's glance, and neatly braided hair glowing with an ethereal blonde color. It would've seemed each one of them represent the day and night cycle, but it was far from that. They were simply opposites. Their differences weren't too far apart, but not too near to categorize them as likes. But you know what they say, opposites attract. The man had been broken out of his brooding-like trance, by a sudden feeling of a head resting against his shoulder. Smiling softly, he had instinctively moved his arm to puller her closer. The woman returned a smile, a bright one that seemed to push the clouds away a bit farther as more sunlight seeped into the semi-gloomy meadow. Snow had begun to settle in quickly, and was just as quickly being ushered away into a liquid state. "Veratian Lovegood." the woman cooed with affection. "Veredise Evergreen." the man responded with a smile, laced with the same amount of affection. They both laughed, breaking the somewhat sappy moment. Glancing at each other once more, they returned to light chat as the snow slowly fell down along with the forest leaves.
