In Never land you never grow up
Children always are as you left them
Lacking a mother's love and care
A fathers smile and help
Never go to school
Nor learn from books
The forest and the law will teach them what they need
A million summers of enjoyment
No rules or grown ups
But beware
For with this there is no phoniness here
You laugh and play
But pirates lurk
To destroy
There is no growing
Only
To be in a glorious battle
Fighting the pirates
Swords blazing
Your leader calling out
The shouts and cries of battle
No reason to fight
Maybe there is
Then you realize you miss something
Something important
The mother's touch
Though you do not have a mother
You have Peter
The one who caught you
Your mother is gone
Your mother
You don't remember her
The tender touch
That you do not know
A ghost hanging over your skin
Suddenly you want out
The way that many may take
To be stuck on a sword
It piercing your skin
For in Never land you never can grow up
Only die.
