Something came in.

See, I never realised. Not at first.

I'm not superstitious or anything. Truth is, I'm not a believer.

But it wasn't just like the films or the X Files or anything.

Something came in. Like a tiny puff of wind it seemed. The curtain just barely moved and the lights flickered. I didn't think anything of it.

And then weeks passed. Nothing happened. Nothing at all.

Everything went back to normal. I lived my very mundane life.

One evening, the same curtain moved… not in exactly the same way, but, you know, in a way you notice if you work late and don't date. If you don't get it, well sit on the same sofa and watch a curtain move when it never does. The curtain moved - trust me it wasn't okay.

I know what you're thinking. The curtain moved – big deal! But this time the lights in the kitchen flickered and went out. Last time, if you were following closely, it was the lights in the living room.

So, if you're thinking "cool" then fine. But here's what actually happened.

I was getting scared. I don't think things moving when they are not supposed to is cool. I kept going to work but as soon as I got home… I felt really scared. More scared each day. Drawers were open – that I knew I shut. I would find toothpaste with the contents squeezed out. My cat was going out of his mind – more than usual I mean – anyone with a cat will know.

Eventually of course I moved out. I'm not an idiot.

So guess what I heard on the local news?

The guy who moved in there is dead!

Anyway, I have to go. Even though the police already talked to me, it seems two FBI guys want to talk to me too. (They're coming up the drive – you should see them!)
