Snake: This is a poem I wrote to my girlfriend after she broke up with me....
Yes I know it is a sad subject to use in a fanfiction, but after I read it
over it seemed to work well as a poem about Tifa's feelings for Cloud. So
here it is for you folks.
The lonely moon
I am lonely like the Moon
You seem as far away as the sun
Though you say we were friends
Soon we will forget
Sometimes I cry for you
Knowing you don't want me to
Sometimes I whisper to the stars up in the sky
We were so close but somehow .... apart
I thought we had something special
Like a bond that will never break
But the scissors of fate
Cut it like it was never there
It's as if we never met
You look at me like a stranger
You made me an empty promise
You said we will always be together
Until the end of time
You said that you will always care for me
But how long is forever
Are you afraid of being alone
Because I know I will be
I wish to be by your side every night
But this is just a dream, an illusion
I look up at the lonely moon
Hoping for an answer
Why cant you see
That your torturing me
I'm lost without you
I need to find a way to move on
When your not around
I go about wishing
I want to be strong
I want you to be there
By my side, you and me
But you were never there when I needed you the most
And yet when I'm gone, you carry on
I float in this emptiness
Drowning in a deep sea of darkness
'Til at last my love returns
But that day will never come
So I spend this night
Staring up at the sky
My only friend is the lonely Moon
I love the warm emotion you brought me
But that is all now gone
I can feel it in my heart
Tearing me apart
Although there is pain
I will not complain
I won't even say a word
I'll just spend this night
By myself
