Saturday Night at the Weasley's

Hermione Weasley sat at the kitchen table thinking about how her week had gone. Rose had just shown her first signs of magic by making Hugo's teddy fly out the bedroom widow because he had "accidentally" given her favourite Barbie a buzz cut. Ron had twisted his ankle at work and Crookshanks had destroyed yet another throw pillow (he didn't really like all the noise the children made!) Her life was hectic and crazy but she wouldn't trade it for all the gold in Gringotts.

"Hermione?"

"Yes." she answered. It was Ron. He had just come back from tucking the little ones in.

"Man, they sure can put up a fight." he said "Rose wouldn't go to bed because she hadn't finished "Les Miserables" yet! I can't believe it, she's only seven years old but I swear she's got the brains of a twenty year old! Hugo made me check twice under the bed for monsters!"

"It's you're your own fault for telling him about the ghoul you had at The Burrow," she said teasingly.

"I really need to wind down. Have any ideas about how I could do that? "he asked, waggling his eyebrows.

"No Ron, not tonight, I have a headache," she lied.

"You always have a headache! Come on please Mione!" he begged using his puppy dog eyes that he knew she just couldn't resist.

"But what if we wake up the children?"

"We can put a silencing charm on the room! We couldn't last weekend because Harry and Ginny were here with their crew!"

"Oh, alright, but you owe me big time!"

"Great, I'll be back in a minute!" he said with a huge grin on his face.

"OK, but hurry up or I might just fall asleep here on the table."

He came back two minutes later with the wizard chess board tucked underneath his arm.

"You can be white," he said while setting up the pieces.

They played for well over half an hour, all the while talking about work and other things they had on their mind.

"Check mate!" exclaimed Ron.

"Whoa, big surprise there!" said Hermione sarcastically. He always won. No matter how many books she had read about chess (she would never admit this to her husband) she still always lost.

"So, what do I get for winning!" he asked slyly.

"What do you usually get?" she whispered softly into his ear before gently kissing him on the lips.

"Let's got to bed" he said with a wolfish gleam in his eye.

"Yes," she answered," now I can finally show you what I bought in Diagon alley yesterday." she said in her sexiest voice.

"Oh, gosh, I hope it's not another book!" he answered ,a fake hint of worry in his voice.

"No, I think that you will like this much better."

"I have the sneaking suspicion that I will!" he answered before closing their bedroom door behind them.

"Ah" she thought. "Just another perfectly normal Saturday night at the Weasley's!"
