He was leaving today. Their paths were splitting apart.
Bolin put down his bag, and tugged her into a hug. Maybe, he hoped, if fate allowed it, they would meet again. They parted.
"It's time for you to go," Asami said, handing him his bag. He was glad she wasn't crying. It would be a lot harder if she had.
"I guess it is." He stifled a bitter laugh. "Goodbye, it is."
Giving him a watery smile, she repeated, "Goodbye, it is."
Bolin whispered the words he couldn't say to the wind.
He walked forward. And hoped she would too.
