Seven year old Annie sat in her room staring out her window, and wished upon the moon soon bright. Wished she could go to a different school, wished she could live anyplace but in New York, just wished the year 2007 would be over.

Her mother and father told her she did not have to be ashamed that she was smart, and that if the other kids wanted to keep calling her Thesaurus girl then let them, it was a compliment. But Annie hated it and she spent so many nights crying that she just wished for anything to help her escape her young life.

The flash of lightning came so fast and so bright that Annie's eyes took a minute to readjust. Peering from her window at the alley below Annie was amazed to see a naked man standing there, moving his head side to side as if looking for someone or something.

Out of all her wishes a naked man was far on the bottom of her list, but if this was what she got right now oh well she thought I will take it. But like her mom and dad said she was a smart girl and like the bullies said she was a Thesaurus girl and naked men just don't fall from the sky.

Moving slowly the terminator left the ally and all that remained was a burned fence and half a dumpster. Annie walked from her window to her bedroom door and listened for the sound of her parents. Sensing the coast was clear she grabbed her sweat jacket from its hook and headed out of the apartment.

Down six flights in a hurry Annie pulled on the heavy metal door leading to the ally and stepped out. Moving towards the dumpster she looked on in amazement at the remaining half, wow she whispered to herself this is something I have to check out.

Checking her watch she saw it was nine thirty pm her parents would assume that she was sleeping, she was cleared for the night. Placing a hand over Annie's mouth the voice from behind said" don't scream I am not going to hurt you" shaking her head tears formed in Annie's eyes her parents told her to stop sneaking out at night, now she was in trouble, for a smart girl she thought I am pretty dumb.

Turning Annie around, the naked man kneeling in front of her looked more scared then harmful, it's okay he said, I am mike and all I want to know is what year it is. Looking perplexed Annie thought it was better to answer him so that this lunatic would just leave her alone.

Annie was surprised at her tone which was more sympathetic then scared, its 2007 and this is New York she said. Mike put a hand on Annie's shoulder and thanked her; he rose and started to leave. Looking now at the naked mans butt Annie spoke to the departing man. My dad has clothes that will fit you if you give me a minute I will get them for you, I mean trust me walking around Manhattan naked is not the best idea.

Mike knew she was right, getting arrested here would not be a good idea. Thank you little girl mike said, no problem answered Annie it's not like every day two naked men drop from the sky. Mike looked at Annie in horror, you saw the other man he asked, oh yes Annie answered and he was one big dude. Mike sat on the ground and but his hands to his face, rubbing his eyes till tears formed, Annie was just about to enter the apartment building she lived in when mike spoke through his now blood shot eyes.

What's your name he asked Annie, eyes wide and a smile now on her face she answered back, MY NAME IS THESAURUS GIRL and with that she was out of site, though young and smart, little did she know that a war was just beginning.
