Roshaun's Greatest Regret

Roshaun was sitting in a waiting room on earth along with the rest of Dairine's friends and family. If I had just told her, I had a million chances before Jeff stole her away.

Flashback

"Come on Roshaun, we can't not dance. The lone one's human associate might think we are suspicious if we don't"

"I have no idea how to dance on this planet. I most probably will look more suspicious if I do."

"It's easy, I'll show you." Dairine said as she practically dragged Roshaun onto the dance floor.

"Now put your hand around my waist and put your hand in my hand and step."

Roshaun actually managed it. "Is there anything else you do?"

"You can twirl."

Dairine and were having such a good time they almost forgot about the fact that they needed to spy on the Lone power's associate. Then when they had to leave Roshaun said nervously "Dairine?'

"Yeah?"

"Uh. Thanks for showing me how to dance."

"No prob. It was fun."

New Flashback

"So I hear from Carmela some guy took you dancing."

"His name is Jeff. And he is not some guy. He is really sweet and nice. He even gave me a red rose after he drove me home."

"A red rose? Isn't that a symbol of love."

"Yeah." answered Dairine dreamily.

"Didn't Carmela say only players took you dancing, or give you a rose on the first date."

"Jeff is not a player. I have dealt with players before. They're octopuses. Jeff hasn't touched my butt yet."

"Yet."

But he promptly shut up when Dairine gave her infamous death glare.

New flashback

Dairine walked down the isle. And Roshaun, one of the groomsman, had a good view. She looked beautiful.

"If anyone has any objections why this man and this woman shouldn't be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace."

It took all of Roshaun not to shout out I object. Dairine would have hated him for it. And he would lose her friendship.

That was the worst day of his life.

End flashbacks

The doctor came out and said, "It's a healthy baby girl. Jennifer Walters."

Roshaun put on a happy mask. The baby did deserve celebration. Even though he wasn't the father, it wasn't the baby's fault. It was his.

"Would you like to hold her?"

"Sure."

"Okay Jen, ready to see your uncle Roshaun? Don't forget to hold her head."

She looked just like Dairine. And was just as stubborn with a very good grip. She had one little hand around his hair and having the time of her life pulling on it.
