The Brave One

I am the one, the brave

I have faced the flames that threaten

I have feared the unknown dangers in the darkness

I have seen the fear in your eyes

Have no fear

I am the one, the brave

I have carried a great burden

I have beheld the dangers threatening to take you away

I have known the feeling of hopelessness creeping into my thoughts

Keep the hope alive

I am the one, the brave

I have been willing to sacrifice my life to save yours

I have helped you through times of great pain

I have survived the stress of the battle

Don't give up

I am the one, the brave

I have protected you from the heat that surrounds

I have witnessed many terrible demises

I have stared death in the face

Never back down

I am the one, the brave
