Bella, My Bella

(A Jacob poem)

Bella, my Bella

My dear, sweet Bella

You mean so much to me.

You are my love,

The stars in my sky

The moon in life

Bella, my Bella

I love you so

I was your sun

Your own personal light

I brightened your day

When you were down

As you did mine.

But where did that go?

When I stitched you back up

When I filled up your hole

But it didn't matter

Still, you left.

Bella, sweet Bella

If only you knew

If you could only contemplate

The pain that I'm in

The ache that I feel.

I wish you for my own

To hold onto your hand

and bring you back home

But you won't change your mind

No matter how hard I might hope.

Bella, my Bella

My sweet, sweet, darling Bella

Please let me in

Please, give me a chance

A chance to give you my all

To catch you when you fall

I love you so much

I can still be the one

I can still be your sun

If only it were enough.
