Giroro stood outside his tent one February morning. It was a while before he realized it was Valentine's Day.
His blush seemed invisible because of his color, as he thought of Natsumi giving him a present or a card.
Later that day he was utterly amazed when Natsumi cornered him after lunch. She was holding a very small box with quavering hands.
Slowly she pushed it as he blushed like tomato and said to him, "Open later."
When Giroro entered his tent, he opened Natsumi's present. A badly shaped cookie of him peeked. Its under was purely black, and Giroro could only tell it was him for it had its name written on the cookie's stomach. She had also added wilted tulips.
Then as he sat down and closed his eyes once more, he felt hot and he could tell he was blushing intently, and he was glad for the first time that his color was red.
