Yes...YES! He, Jakurii, would PURGE this land of all EVIL! With his mighty sword of JUSTICE and RIGHTEOUSNESS his hand, he would DEFEAT the UNHOLY LORD OF TERROR and END his REIGN as MASTER of HELL! The Light would be his guide, and faith be DAMNED if he was going to FAIL! The LIGHT will PREVAIL over DARKNESS!

The noble paladin Jakurii ventured, solo into the lair of death. The single warrior had vanquished evil one by one, in the west, the east, and the Far East.

Now only one was left...the Lord of Terror himself.

Diablo.

From early birth into the order of Zakarum, Jakurii was beset with powers no child could possess. He was filled with a zeal and inner courage that even the noble elders began to admire. When he set off for his questing everyone thought he would triumph quickly.

And he did. One by one, one by one, they all fell with a terrible scream of death. Blood Raven, Andariel, Radament (who Jakurii fondly called Radishman), Duriel, the High Council, Mephisto, and Demon Izual. Nothing could stop Jakurii with his endless quest of self-righteousness.

Now, as Jakurii faced the den of the lord of terror himself, he somehow began to tremble.

"No! How could this be?" he chastised himself for showing such fear. He shook off the feeling.

Jakurii nimbly stepped onto each seal, defeated each minion, until he shook in his boots from the tremor of Diablo's voice.

"EVIL DEMON! YOU HAVE WRONGED ALL THAT IS GOOD AND JUST! PREPARE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!"
Jakurii yelled as he lunged into Diablo, furiously swinging with all his might.

But...nothing was happening. Nothing. Diablo merely laughed as this fool struck his thick hide over and over again.

No! This could not be occurring!

Jakurii quickly read his scroll of town portal and jumped inside. Being experienced, he knew to mutter the unwritten 4 words that sealed the portal for his use and his use only.

The paladin stumbled over to a corner and sat down. He removed one of his gauntlets, and too his surprise, he was shaking. How? Why couldn't he do it?

Suddenly it dawned on him. The moment right as he entered the Chaos Sanctuary, the moment he trembled, he showed a signs of lack of faith. He could not have that. One who is without Faith into the Light is one who is meek and dies without honor.

New courage spread into him, and as he leaped back into the portal, he knew what to do now.

"Fool! Why have you come back into my grasp?" Diablo laughed, booming.

"You will be redeemed, after God has punished you for your sins. HIS WRATH AND VENGEANCE IS UPON YOU!"

With that Jakurii looked up into the sky, bellowed words of prayer and a bolt of holy power appeared from the sky.

Diablo looked up, confused, and, as the truth dawned on him, he, the Lord of Terror, began to feel some terror himself.

As the white bolt came down, faster and faster, it seemed to take shape of a hand, first outstretched, then into a fist.

"FIST OF THE HEAVENS!"
