Splat!

"What the-?" Marco took off what splat on his face.

"Strawberry pie?" It was mushy, juicy red pie with whipped cream.

"It's strawberry moon time!" Star sang as she jumped out of a bush holding the whole pie.

"Strawberry moon?" Marco asked.

"Yeah, there's gonna be a pink moon in the sky tonight!" Star said. "It only comes one every 70 years."

Marco's phone vibrated and one of the news apps had a story on the phenomenon.

"Hmmm...looks like we won't be able to see it." Marco said.

"Wha…." Star asked. She took a look at Marco's phone and it said that in Echo Creek, the strawberry moon wouldn't be visible.

"Curse you galaxies, planets and stars!" Star shouted, holding out her wand.

"Did you just curse yourself?" Marco asked.

Star's blue eyes widened. "Dang it. Ugh…well, we can still see the moon from the ball tonight."
"What?" Marco asked.

"There's gonna be a Strawberry Moon Ball tonight!"
Marco gasped, instantly images of the Blood Moon Ball came back to him.

"Is Tom gonna be there?" Marco worriedly asked.

"Actually, no," Star said. "Word is in the underworld that he's still suffering hypothermia."

"OK, good. So what's gonna happen at the Strawberry Moon Ball?"
"There's gonna be strawberry egg toss, taking pictures while getting dunked in strawberry juice, strawberry pie fights, dancing with giant talking strawberries and of course ballroom dancing And yes, even though the strawberry moon light fills the light, it's more about pretty pink lighting and no so much about binding souls!"

Marco nodded and smiled.

"And strawberry meatloaf!" Star shouted.

"Well...just don't feed me the meatloaf," Marco said.

"But I still want you to dance!" Star said, giving her best friend a big hug.

Marco looked away.

"I'm not that good, Star," he said, modestly.

"Of course you are! You're a great dancer!"
Marco thought about it. Strawberry pie fights sounded fun and he too enjoyed dancing with Star.

Star opened a dimensional portal and used her wand to dress herself and Marco in strawberry dance clothes. She was wearing a ruffled white gown with red strawberry patterns and a pink ribbon around her waist. Marco was dressed in a pink tuxedo with a strawberry pin on his magenta tie.

Star then sprayed whipped cream into her mouth from her wand.

"Want some?" Star asked Marco, muffled.

"Uh...OK," Marco said. Star sprayed whipped cream into her mouth and they jumped together into the Strawberry Moon Ball.
