Corpses, corpses everywhere. That was all Eren could see in that moment. Whenever he turned around there were corpses and blood, so much blood. He wanted to cry, to scream. He thought it was his fault. Yes, his fault. Because of him, everyone died. Because of him, so many people would have been sad, shocked when the Survey Corps would have told them that their friends, mothers, fathers, brothers or sisters were dead. And that was all because of him, because of Eren. He was the monster, he was the one who killed them.
He bowed as he cried and screamed all his pain, all his forgiveness.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! I didn't want to... I didn't...". He covered his face with his hands. Someone took them showing his tears.
"I know" they told him. "I know, Eren". The boy stood his head up to see who they were.
"Captain... I..." he tried to say.
"Shh, it's okay" Levi said as he hugged him.
"But captain... I did... I killed... so many people..." Eren cried.
"I said it's okay, did you hear it brat?".
"Yes...".
"It's not your fault, you were trying to save humanity again with us. You didn't do anything wrong, so stop crying" Levi told him gently as he pet his head.
"If you say so... I'll stop, I promise..." Eren said drying his tears. He then looked Levi in the eyes.
"You did well today too, Eren".
"Do I have to receive a prize, captain Levi?" he asked. Levi sighed.
"It's because you're shocked, brat...". Eren smiled as he took Levi's head between his hands.
"Yeah, yeah... you always say so, Levi". This made the captain blush. "Now can you kiss me? Or do I have to kiss you?" the boy asked. His eyes were still full of tears, full of sadness. He was still shocked for the battle, but the kiss Levi gave him made he forget about everything around him. It was like a magic. It was always like this. Whenever Levi kissed him, Eren felt like he was loved, really loved by someone. And this was the only thing that made him live, survive during battles.
