In the Feudal Era,
I got tired of sitting around.
So in the well I hopped,
Back out when Kagome was found.
I ended up where I usually did
But phew! It was hot!
And so I started panting
And started sweating a lot.
Suddenly Sota saw me,
In a loud voice he did cry,
"Boy, it's hot out here!
Why don't you come inside?"
So in their home I waited,
For Kagome was still not there.
But as for searching for her
In this heat, I do not dare.
But even when the night had fallen
And all outside was black,
I began to get very worried
'Cuz Kagome still wasn't back.
No one else knew what had happened
Her mom asked me to look,
Her brother wanted to come,
Her grandpa was reading a book.
So off on a search I go,
Following Kagome's scent.
To her school it led,
To her school I went.
I found the school locked down
So I clawed off the front door
I tore apart the alarm
So it'd hurt my ears no more.
But now the door was ruined
With lots of holes and dents,
And my nose was overwhelmed
By the school's lingering scents.
So I perked my ears alertly
For any of Kagome's motions,
But then I heard some slapping
Like the waves of a lake or ocean.
"Kagome?" I yelled as I ran
Through another door that was locked.
"Inu-Yasha!" she cried incredulously,
Her face was relieved yet shocked.
"Why are you still here," I asked,
"When at home you should've been?"
"If you hadn't noticed," she growled,
"I clearly was locked in!
I planned on going swimming,
So I put on my sunblock.
But when I finished changing,
I found that the door was locked!
So I didn't get to swim
And got stuck in here all day,
While what I actually wanted
To go out to the pool to play!
Why didn't you come get me earlier?
Wasn't anyone worried?"
To that I replied, "Yeah, well,
You're the one that never hurried."
In response, she sat me.
She always did when she was mad.
Angrily, I said, "I came to fetch you
Why, you should be glad!"
She apologized and helped me get up,
And we started to head home.
"What are we going to do about the doors
That you ruined?" Kagome moaned.
Yes, that's how ungrateful
She was about me rescuing her.
Staying locked up in that dump,
Would she prefer that better?
But just to avoid being sat again,
I at least put the doors back in place.
Then we set off for her house
In an extremely fast pace.
Dinner that night was good.
I ate a lot of meat.
I tried eating some ramen,
But Kagome sat me off my seat.
She locked me out of her room
Because she had to study.
Well, she wouldn't have been able to
If it hadn't been for somebody.
Their house was so noisy!
I did not get a good night's rest
For all their clocks were ticking
And Sota kept being a pest!
The next morning Kagome
Was all rearing to go,
But I was in no condition
To fight any of our foes.
So when we got back to my world,
I instantly went to sleep.
No more of Kagome's world I wanted
To this world I wanted to keep.
