Chapter One
Bobby Hill looked at his childhood home. The Texas sun beating down on his back. He smiled at the memories, good and bad. He was back for the Reunion. He walked up the path to the front door.
He hardly knocked when Peggy Hill opened the door and threw her arms around her son. She was so happy her son was home. It's been lonely these past five years since Hank passed. Bobby smiled as he hugged her back. He makes a mental note to try and see her more often instead of just talking on the phone.
"Hey mom. Missed you too. Where's Mary?" He asked as he followed Peggy inside. Mary Hill, born when Bobby was Seventeen, was a plesant surprise to all of them. "Oh you know your sister. She's at the library with Gracie." Peggy said as they enter the living room. She and Bobby sat down on the blue couch. "She should be back pretty soon. Anyway, how's work?" "Not too good at the moment but it's picking up a bit more than it was last month." He said. Bobby was a stand up comedian and a writer. He had some trouble getting gigs lately, and the ones he does get are for childrens birthday parties.
The back door opened and Mary walked in with Gracie, both of them laughing and holding bags full of books. Mary nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw her big brother. She almost tripped over the coffee table as she ran to hug him.
