I feel her let go of me, and I know that she will go on. She will keep her promise, and live everyday like it was today. She knows I will wait for her, and that when the time comes, we will be back on the Titanic once more.
All of us will be there, waiting for the ones who survived, like her and Molly. They will survive, and our story, the saga that it will become, will go on.
I see her, every moment of her life as it plays out, and we stay together, and she knows. She feels me with every breath she takes, with everything she does, and at night, I climb into bed beside her, she feels herself in my arms.
She knows that I am here and there, like the wind.
------
She knows that I am with her, and our love goes on. She seems to love me more with everyone she meets, and when she marries her husband, it was me standing at the alter with her, exchanging our vows.
"To making it count." she says during the toasts at her wedding, and tears come to her eyes as she remembers. Molly and her share a knowing look as she sits back down, and I smile on, from the window of time that has opened for us.
To making everything, even death, count, is something that she does.
------
In her dreams, she sees me, and we touch.
We walk the halls of the place she will come to love, and the stairways, and we fly to the stars.
Sometime we are in the water, and it is cold, cold, cold, but we both survive, and live in peace.
But then she wakes, and it's all just a dream, and she remembers what really happened.
-------
A woman dies in peace, leaving behind a sea of memories.
