CRASH!
Thunder sounded from outside the room. The only other sound in this storm were the soft cries of an infant lying in a crib. Then Suddenly, Lightning flashed, frightening the child even more. Then a door opens, and someone rushed into the room. It was Pearl.
"Steven, whats wrong?" she asked the young child. Almost as if to answer her question, More thunder clashed. Young Steven now cried even louder. Pearl looked out the window, then back to Steven. She scooped up the frightened baby and began to comfort him.
"Shhhh, Its okay, Steven. The Storm can't hurt you in here..." She told him as she walked over to a couch and sat down. Pearl cradled the young boy in her arms. All was peaceful, Then-
CRASH! KA-BOOM! FLASH!
Even more thunder and lightning sound all at once. The infant Steven began to form more tears, now gripping tightly to Pearls shirt. The older gem continued to comfort the child. Then she began to sing softly:

Steven now was laying asleep in Pearls arms... The older gem held the infant close to her. Then she laid down on the couch... Slowly drifting into a peaceful sleep...
The rest of the night, was peaceful...
I was working on my other Story, when this random playlist i was listening to played "You are my Sunshine" and i just had to write this idea down!
