Turn 11. Twilight After Ark-Light
Everyone's attention was focoused on Markes and Bastion. Not a single word was being spoken from either player. Both there eyes looking into eachother trying to read a story from with in them. Bastion looked down at his hand acnowleding every card in his hand. ''So let me end the inticapation''Bastion remarked returning his eyes to Markes. His face wore a solid kind smile. Hera looked at Bastion him also trying to read the face of Bastion. '' I activate Dinomist Charge''Bastion stated inserting the drawn card into the disk. ''Next i will debut the pendulum summon by placing scale five and scale three dinomist in the pendulum zone'' two white shadows emerged from the ground hovering on the right and left side of Bastion inside a white line of energy.
''Thats a new one''Markes said looking at the light. In the middle of the energy were the two numbers three and five. ''Allow me to explain to the students''Bastion said turning his attention to the stands. ''With a pendulum summon its all about there scales because there the most important thing'' he stopped turning to the right side of the staduim. Slowwly he looked over to his left side ''you see now i can pendulum summons monsters bewtween these two scales so that means..''he stopped allowing the students to process what was going on. ''So level fours''Jake answered. ''Correct''Bastion replied his arms folded and eyes clossed. ''I will now pendulum summon these two monsters''Bastion said grabbing two cards and pointing them in the air.
''Allow me to explain''Bastion stopped. ''A pendulum monster is a monster in a spell mixed into one card''he stopped again. ''There most important thing is there scales because that is why they are summoned, a pendulum monster goes into your right and left pendulum zone and i cant instantly pendulum summon monster's bewtween those scales once per turn''Bastion finished. ''So thats the new pendulum summon''Markes said looking at Bastion wearing the same greetfull smile. ''But all do respect sir, will it be enough?'Markes asked.
Two blue dinosuars rose from below Bastion. ''Introudcing Dinomist Plesios''Bastion notted. ''Two monsters at once, amazing''John replied. ''Next ill activate a third spell card Dinomist Powerload GO!''Bastion shouted inserting another card from his hand into the disk. Both the dinosuars glew blue as there attack points raised. ''And you raised there attack points very nice''Markes replied. ''First Plesios attack that Raiden''Bastion said pointing at the monster on Markes side. One of the two dragons opened its mouth shotting a blue blast at Raiden destroying him. ''Now the second a direct attack''Bastion continued.
Markes fell to one knee. ''Actual pain there must be something wrong with the duel disk''Bastion notted seeing the impact his first attack caused. ''These are the rules of the phantom games we play, welcome to our world''Vellian Crow notted again playing with his mustache. ''I dont understand''Bastion answered. ''In our school we get pushed to the toughest limit, it proves our determination to succed''Markes explained. ''SO YOU LET YOUR STUDENTS SUFFER!''Bastion shouted his anger pointed at Vellian. Vellian didnt bother to answer he just maniacly smile at Bastion. ''Is that the end of your turn?''Markes asked slowwly standing up.
Bastion returned his attention to Markes ''i will not allow these methods to effect my students''he said. ''If we win there will be no choice sadly sir''Markes quickly answered. ''I will evolve without your tactics''Bastion stated. ''I OVERLAY MY TWO LEVEL FOUR MONSTERS''Bastion screamed. ''XYZ into Pendulum!''Jake screamed. ''He just debuted this method and is already evolving amazing''Candice replied in awe. Both the dinosuars turned into two white orbs that began spinning around until it created a white explosion. ''XYZ EVOLZAR DOLGA!''Bastion screamed. Inside the light was a new dinosuar with fire circling around it. ''Very impresive''Markes said admiring Bastions new monster. ''With this my turn end''Bastion finished.
''Professor is so impressive''Hera said leaning over the banister. Markes drew a card from his deck to start his turn. ''I activate Raiden's effect''Markes declared placing two cards on top of his deck ready to discard them but he was stopped. The fire around Dolka stopped spinning and instead shot towards Raiden causing him to frezze. ''I detach both xyz materials from Dolka to negate your Raidens card effect''Bastion explained. ''I activate the effect of Light Pulsar Dragon''Markes explained looking at his hand before returning his attention to Bastion. ''I send my dark Kuribandit and light Eclipse Wyern to specail summon this dragon from my grave''Markes inserted two cards from his hand into the discarding pile causing a yellow light to burst out.
In the light a dragon descended. The dragon was bright blue and white and had two veins going down its chest. ''Next because of Eclipse Wyvern i can now banish one card from my deck''Markes said pulling his deck out and picking one out. ''Next i will banish Eclipse Wyern to specail summon Black Dragon Collaserpent''Markes finished. A small black dragon rose up from the ground hovering next to Lighpulsar Dragon ''and now i add the banished card to my hand''Markes exclaimed. Hera and John's jaws dropped at the amount of monsters Markes was specail summoning. ''I am no where near finished''Markes said. ''I now banish Black Dragon to specail summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon''Markes replied. The smaller dragon suddenly vanished and in its place a bigger one arose.
''Red eyes activate your effect to specail summon Ark Brave Dragon from my grave'' the wings of red eyes glew red as a red circle appeared in the ground. First a yellow head emerged followed by a body until a third dragon rose up from it. ''Effect i now banish every face up spell card''Markes explained. ''NO MY SCALES ARE SPELL CARDS!''Bastion shouted seeing his scales vanish in front of his eyes. Bastions other two spell cards were also gone now. ''Markes has three dragons on the field..''Hera said looking at all three of them. ''There combined attack equals eight thousand one hundred...''Jake said not beliving his own calculations.
''Its been fun teacher but its time to end this''Markes said. ''Lightpulsar Dragon hit that Dolka go PULSATING LIFE FORCE!''Markes screamed. Lightpulsars entire body glew white as it oppned its mouth. White sparks began appearing from its mouth. Before Bastion could react Lightpulsar shot a whte blast at Dolga instantly destroying it. Bastion got shot back from the impact his lifepoints slowwly draining {4000-200=3800} ''next Ark Brave Dragon attack him directly''Markes said. ''Not so fast go trap HALF BURST!''Bastion shouted.
For the first time in the school year there was no Ra yellows, Obelisk Blue or even Sliffer Red. Just a bunch of kids watching the duel they loved being played in the most competive way ever seen. Mixure of awe and amazement found in every single one of there faces. ''This is what its all about, THIS IS WHY I CAME TO THIS SCHOOL!''Johnathan shouted out. ''Yeah this is amazing''the small voice of Gloria speaking out below everyone. Her blue eyes memerized at the staduim and at Bastion and Markes.
A hidden card slowwly revealed itself from Bastions side. ''When a monster is destroyed all damage this turn is halfed''Bastion explained. ''Nice move''Markes said ''but my attack will not end''Markes stated. Red eyes and Ark Brave shot two blast both crashing into Bastion. Bastion slowwly covered his eyes from the explosion in front of him { 3800 - 1400= 2000} {2000-1500=500} ''very impressive''Bastion said weakly. ''Thanks''Markes answered his voice also coming off weak. Bastions hands slowwly shook slowwly moving towards his deck. ''I DRAW!''he screamed with the last of his strengh quickly drawing the top card. ''I ACTIVATE DARK HOLE!''Bastion screamed. Right before Markes eyes a dark hole appeared consuming all three of his dragons.
Bastion looked at the last card in his hand. ''I summon Dinomist Ankyonus''he said placing it on the field. A dragon standing on all fours appeared next to Bastion. It was a crystal blue collor from top to bottom. ''Attack him dirrectly''Bastion said. Ankyonus ran at Markes striking him with its tail. Leaving Markes with a low one thousand life points and no card in hand. Bastion had no cards in his hand and five hunred life points. Both of them panted quietly there dueling souls clashing right before everyone's very eyes. This was a new form of dueling that no one has ever seen before.
For the second time everyone was in awe of what they were seeing. Markes looked over to the other two kids. A smile appearing on his face. ''This has been amazing''he said. ''The rumors of this being the true test of a duelist were true and any other day i would have enjoyed this''he stopped along with his smile. Slowwly he returned his attention to Bastion the smile he once had not viasble anymore instead a stern serious look. He drew the top card his eyes still locked on Bastion. ''I will rain chaos down on you with the most highest respect''Markes said his eyes meeting the card. Bastion felt his legs slowwly buckle beneath him fighting to stand up. ''I will now bansh my dark Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon along with my Ark Brave Dragon''Markes explained.
A black orb appeared behind Markes. Followed by a white orb. ''Is that chaos...''Bastion said his eyes mezmerized by the sight. ''It is Ark Light''Markes replied with the finish of his sentence the two orbs fused together. ''From the brightest and noble light''he began to chant. ''And the darkest and malice of a wicked mans heart''he continued. ''WITH THESE TWO MIGHTY DRAGONS THE KING WILL RISE ONCE AGAIN!''Markes screamed an explosion accuring behind him. Vellian Crow's eyes lit up refleting off his dark shades. '' Markes is the king of light and the bringer of darkness, he is the avatar of Ark Light''he said to himself.
Behind Markes an enormous figure emerged. It let out a dark roar its image shrouded in the darkness. ''Chaos Emperor Dragon show yourself''Markes said quietly. With the finish of the sentece the dragon peeked its head from the darkness. It was enormous towering over Bastion and Markes. Green skin and scales. Orange hair on the top if its head. ''That is the legendary monster...''Bastion said in shock of the monster. ''Yes and with this legendary card i will end this''Markes stated. ''With the highest respect like i promised''Markes finished. ''Chaos Emperor Dragon end this''Markes said quietly. Chaos Emperor Dragon oppened its mouth. Burning flames foaming out of it. ''DEMON KING'S FINAL STAND!''Markes screamed. Chaos Emperor Dragon showered the flames on top of Bastion and his last monster ending the duel with a burning light.
As the smoke cleared everyone looked at Bastion down on one knee. ''He lost...''John said. ''That kid is good''Candice replied watching as Markes returned to his friends and Vellian Crow. ''Per the rules of the duel since we won we will be joining for the rest of the semister''Vellian stated. ''Excuse us while we make ourselfs at home ''he said turning. The other two kids looked at the down Bastion no emotion on there faces. ''Look thats the potential of only one of them ''Jake said . Once again John looked over to Hera to see his eyes connected on the third kid {Whats going on with him} he thought to himself. ''Children lets go''Vellian Crow said slowwly walking out the staduim.
Following behind him the three kids. Hera's eyes continued to watch the third kid. ''Bastion are you alright?''Syrus asked running over to help him. ''We'll things have goten alot more intresting''Simmon said to himself. ''Yeah im okay..''Bastion answered slowwly fighting to his feet. Bastion watched as the three kids vanished into the hall. ''I dont like this first the reaper and now this''Candice said her face showing a mask of fear and worry. ''Whatever the challenge is we will face it head on''John said clenching his fist. ''Thats the Sliffer Rebellion way''Hera said finally breaking his silence.
''Yeah no matter the fight we stand tall''Candice replied. Bastion finally made it to his feet to an aplause from everyone in the stands. ''Wont be to long from now''Simmon replied quietly standing next to Sgt Pain. ''Not long at all, his time is almost up''Sgt Pain replied a dark grin emerging on his face. ''But with things are unfolding this may be just a tad bit more intresting''Simmon said turning his attention to the door where they exited. ''All in do time everyone will know there roles''Sgt Pain said turning his attention to the same direction. ''The strong will survive and the ants will be squashed''he said then looking up at Hera . ''And then the true fun will beggin''Simmon finished. Unknowing to anyone here a darker scene was about to take form that very same night.
White clouds took form in the sky. Along with it a ghostly fog. Three students were standing in the middle of the forest looking down. The familiar red and blue flashing lights illuminating into the night sky. ''Another one''a man's quiet voice answered out. ''This makes eight''another voice answered out preparing a stretcher. Both lifted up a body and placed it into the stretcher. Tears ran down one of the students eye. He was the smallest one of the students. His appearance showed he was not the age of the other students but alot more younger. Twelve maybe eleven. ''Dad..''he said quietly watching as the two man placed the stretcher into the back of the ambulance unleashing a loud sirren into the night sky.
Turn 12. TRAGEDY! A Friend Falls
John let out a loud yaw. ''Ill never get used to waking up this early in the morning''he replied wipping his eyes. ''You got to learn to sleepy head''Candice replied. ''What can i say i am really not a morning person''John answered. ''This is very weird Mr. Rejii is never late''Hera responded his voice coming from the seat behind John. ''Its eight twelve''Jake replied looking at his watch. ''Its very odd''he said. John leaned over in his chair both his hands above his head in a relaxed position. ''Maybe he overlsept''John joked. ''Maybe''Hera repeated.
Just as they finished there sentence the classroom door slowwly opened. Coming into the room was Sgt Pain and Simmon. As every other day Simmon was wearing a very odd outifit. Consisting of a long white shirt with what looked to be a orange tigger face in the back and three tigger claws in the middle. Like the others it had a white cape going down the back touching the floor. ''Attention future champions''he spoke. Everyone turned there attention to the two of them. ''We come with some very sad news''he continued walking to the middle of the classroom. ''The reaper has struck once again''he notted.
Everone in the room let out a loud gasp. Along with it causing a huge muttering around. Hera's eyes widdened as it finally hit him the reason why Mr. Rejji was late. Why Sgt Pain and Simmon were in the class. He awaited for them to say the answer he already knew. ''Mr. Rejii was found today in the forest uncosious and unresponcive like the others''Sgt Pain explained. ''With this being said this is now the eighth straight victim''Sgt Pain notted. ''With this being said per the rules of Bastion everyone will be accompied by a teacher at the start of every class till when they turn in to there dorms for the night''Sgt Pain explained.
''Also we will be getting more security to patrol into this little legend of the Reaper is finally figured out''Simmon added. ''I canot belive this''Candice replied. Simmon opened the door to allow a little boy walk into the room. The boy had a short black hair cut. ''This is Mr. Rejii son Thomas''Simmon stated shutting the door. Thomas face was down showing the pain he was feeling inside. ''Poor kid''John said looking down at the little boy feeling bad. ''Hey look at his jacket, its red''Hera notted. Simmon looked up to where the Sliffer Rebellion was sitting. ''Because i am of Ra Yellow and Sgt Pain here is of Obelisk Blue we are leaving him under your care''Simmon said. ''We are not baby sitters''Kizu replied sitting next to Jake.
Hera looked at Thomas reading the pain in his eyes. Without a single word he stood up. His eyes still on Thomas. Slowwly he walked down Thomas. ''Welcome to Sliffer Red''he said extending his hand. Thomas didnt look up his head still pointed down. ''Hey its alright''the voice of John answered coming from behind Hera. John walked up and placed his hand on the shoulder of Thomas feeling him jump the second he touched him. ''So we will leave him in your care, the best of luck to you''Simmon answered with a dark grin on his face. ''With the happenings of today class for the day has been cancled and we will start over normaly tomorow''Sgt Pain anounced turning to the other kids in class.''Return to your dorm and get some rest''he said peeking over at Hera before walking out the door.
Hera, Gloria, Candice, Jake,Kizu and Thomas all sat in the cafeteria reflecting on the events of the day. Thomas sat in the first table still his head down not saying a word. '' I swear that Sgt Pain one day is gonna get whats coming to him''John said slamming his fist on the table. ''And you will be the one to do it''Candice replied a smile appearing on her face. ''You know it''John said his anger quickly turning into happyness. For some reason Candice always had the effect to turn anyone's bad mood into a good mood with just a single sentence. Quickly she was gaining the nickname the Sliffer's Shinning Star to mock Simmon.
Thomas sat by himself trying to fight the tears off. Feeling they were coming any second, he felt alone and scarred. Without knowing Hera sat next to him. ''Hey bud''Hera's voice answered out causing Thomas to snap out of his emotions. Slowwly Thomas's blue eyes looked up at Hera. ''Your dad was an awesome teacher and he told me alot about you when we talked''Hera said. ''How excited he was of you coming and becoming a duelist, how proud he was that you decided to follow in his footsteps''Hera stopped looking at Thomas.
''I know its hard to belive now but things do get better, i mean my dad is missing and i thought i would be in despair forever but then i meet them''Hera said looking over to everyone. John was giving Jake a noggie while Candice yelled about how childish they were acting. ''Never thought a things like friends existed but it does and it takes all the pain away''Hera said looking back at Thomas noticing Thomas was also looking at the group of friends. 'We are sliffers''Hera said tucking at Thomas's jacket ''we stick together''he said.
Thomas still looking over at everyone. ''Yeah there odd but there my odd friends''Hera said with a cheery tone. ''Ill be your friend''Hera said finally getting Thomas's attention back. ''Really..''Thomas's voice finally spoke. ''Friends are always there for eachother and no matter what i will always be there for you, no matter what''Hera said his eyes clossed wearing a cheesy smile. ''Okay!''Thomas answered slowwly a smile taking form on his face. ''You did it again Hera..''Candice said quietly noticing what was going on ''your amazing''she finished.
Hera and Thomas continued to talk which slowwly turned into joking. A small bond slowwly begging to grow. Unknowing to anyone a dark shadow stood outside the cafeteia looking in and watching there every move using the shadows as its robes. ''IM GONNA SMACK YOU!''Candice screamed. John dived over the table grabbing a tray to protect himself from the upcoming hit as Hera and Thomas began laughing at the same time. Followed by Kize and Jake. Even Gloria was quietly laughing. A dark morning was slowwly turning into a good day.
John held a stick in his hand on it a marshmellow. It slowwly burned on the small fire in front of him. ''The perfect Marshmellow trick is very easy its all about timming''John expained. He pulled the stick back but the second he did the marshmellow completly slipped of the stick and into the fire. ''Awww man...''John said sadly. ''HA yea ITS CALLED CHARCOL!''Kizu screamed in laughter. Hera and Thomas had a deck of cards in there hands looking at the cards that were on the ground.
''So you like warrior's too''Hera replied seeing the cards Thomas was holding. ''Yeah there kinda my favorite''Thomas answered rubbing the back of his head. ''Comand Knight, Marauding Captain, Field Comander Raz''Hera beggan naming of the cards in Thomas's deck. ''Frontline...''Hera replied confused. In his hand he held a spell card he never seen before. Slowwly reading the effect outload. ''Once per turn if you normal summon a warrior type monster you can add one warrior type monster with the same level from your deck to your hand''Hera stopped.
''Its like an army only as strong as there soliders''Thomas answered. ''My deck is a great army and im the commander''Thomas stated with confidence. ''That is soo cool''Hera said handing the deck back to Thomas. ''Maybe one day we can duel Hera?''Thomas asked. ''My heroes vs your army sounds amazing''Hera said extending his hand for a handshake. Caught of guard Thomas laughed accepting and shaking the hand of Hera ''one day''Hera replied with a smile. ''This is something i will really look forward too''Hera replied.
Crickets and snores could be heard coming from the room. Kizu and Jake were in the very last room. Glorai and Candice in the middle. Finally in the third room John, Hera and Thomas in a three bed bunk. In Hera's dream he was dueling John. John controled Buster Blader and Hera control Iron. ''I will give you my A game ''Hera stated. ''Iron ATTACK BUSTER BLADER GO FULL THROTLE MISSILE LAUNCH!''Hera screamed. ''Come get me''John said confidently. Suddenly a liquid poured off Iron's arm then his left arm. Slowwly in front of Hera Iron was melting. ''What is going on...''Hera asked looking over to see Buster Blader doing the same.
''How could you...''the voice of John answered out. ''We were friends..'' Hera looked up to see the horrorfying site of John's face melting. ''I trusted you to save us...''he said his voice getting quietter and quitter ''IM SORRY!''Hera screamed waking up in a cold sweat. He sat up looking into the darkness. Panting and fighting to catch a breath ''what a nightmare''Hera said triyng to regain control of his voice. He whipped the sweat off his face before getting out of bed to get a drink. On the fridge there was a single piece of paper he didnt remember being there.
He tore it off the fridge and began to read. [ Hera, i apreciaite you trying to help me and treating me like a friend. My dad is gone and i must understand why i think i have a clue. This may be in connection with the strings of sick students. Im going to figure out what happen to my dad no matter what..im sorry] ''THOMAS!'''Hera shouted turning to see the middle bunk was empty. Hera ran to the door quickly opening it looking out to see a sign of where Thomas went or where he was.
A shriek could be heard screaming from the forest. Hera folowed the scream. Running through the shadows and tree's. The scream becoming louder and louder with every single step he was taken. Finally Hera came to a stop along with the look of horror taking form on his face. In front of him a weaknened Thomas. His face full of sweat and exhaustion. There standing in front of Thomas was the dark presence of the reaper. Wearing the same gas mask and black cloaked hood. In front of Thomas was two warrior's. The first a soldier with short yellow hair and silver armor. The second a female solider in silver armor.
Thomas life points were at a small five hundred. Every second that passed he let out a panting breath almost collapsing. The Reaper faced Thomas not making a single movement or even word. ''Time to end your suffering''the reaper spoke drawing a card. Above the reaper was a large dragon. Its entire body pitch black with an orange collor in its skin. Most notably of the dragons appearance on its right arm was a bandaged arm. Along with a broken horn on the left side of its body. The dragon violently growled at Thomas hovering down towards him slowwly. ''SCARLIGHT RED DRAGON ARCHIFIEND FINISH THIS NOW!''the Reaper screamed.
The dragon's clenched its left fist angrly. Ready to strike Thomas down. ''STOP!''Hera screamed appearing in front of Thomas. Thomas weakly looked up seeing the image of a familiar friend. ''Her...''he tried to say but before he could finish this last word his entire body collapsed. ''THOMAS!''Hera shouted quickly turning to check on him. ''He has meet his end''the Reaper said the dragon above him vanishing with the end of his sentence. ''And now i will take my prize''the reaper replied walking towards the down Thomas.
''You wont be gaining anything''Hera snapped standing up and activating his duel disk. ''Not while i am standing here'' The Reaper came to a stop looking at Hera. ''This ends here''Hera said pointing at the Reaper. ''I have already claimed that boy so step back''the reaper's dark voice demanded. ''Not gonna happen''Hera argued. ''Then i have no choice but to make you fall as we'll''the reaper said activating his duel disk. A yellow light of the moon beamed off the moon reflecting on the reapers mask. Hera stood in front of Thomas protecting him like a shield. {I promise you with my very last breath i wont let anything happen to you, i wont break my promise to Mr. Rejii}Hera thought preparing to start the darkest duel he ever faced.
Turn 13. Hera In All Of Us
Ghost white fog appeard under the feet of The Reaper and Hera. Both have five cards in there hand waiting for the first one to make a move. The Reaper quickly drew ''I set one monster down and a set card behind it''the reaper replied placing the drawn card and another one from his hand onto the disk. ''Turn end''he said coldly. {Time to show off}Hera thought to himself drawing a card from his deck. ''I specail summon Avenger Hero Tech''Hera replied. Tech descended from the ground landing in front of Hera with his hands folded. ''I now discard one random card to activate his effect and add one spell card''Hera noted sending a card from his hand to the discard pile and adding another from his deck.
''Next because i summoned a Avenger Hero this turn i can specail summon this Avenger Hero Chameoflauge'' Hera replied. A figure made of camo appeared next to Tech. It had no face or hands. ''I now discard the top card of my deck to make my Chameoflauge any type i delcare''Hera explained sending the top card of his deck to the grave. ''I delcare warrior''Hera answered. Hera examined his hand for a brief second. ''Next ill activate Hidden Armory allowing me to send another card from the top of my deck and in return ill add Iron Of Inteligiance from my deck to my hand''Hera stated. Hera's had five cards in his hand.
''I am bringing my a game tonight''Hera said inserting both equip cards into the disks. Armor appeared around Tech causing its entire body to shine. While a white shield appeared in the hands of Chameoflauge. ''Next i will send both to summon two of my favorites''Hera explained. Without another word both Tech and Chameoflauge vanished and in there place stood Iron and Avenger Hero Freedom. ''BATTLE!''Hera screamed. ''IRON ATTACK HIS SET MONSTER!''with the rage of Hera Iron shot three rockets at the reapers set card destroying it instantly. ''My fallen monster effect activates i can now add one vampire type monster to my hand''the reaper replied taking his deck out and skimming through it.
''Thats fine''Hera said. ''ATTACK HIM DIRECTLY FREEDOM!''Freedom ran towards the reaper throwing himself into the air. ''Go spell card Fires Of Doomsday''the reaper quietly said. The revealed card on the reapers side slowwly flipped up with a black smoke coming from inside it. Standing in front of the reaper were now two small demon like creatures. One on his left side and the second one on his right side. Freedom struck the first one causing it to explode but leaving the reaper unharmed. ''My best efforts and i could not even hit him''Hera said to himself looking over at the remaining cards in his hands. ''I end my turn''Hera said sadly. The reaper looked down at Thomas.

''I draw''the reaper replied drawing a card from his deck. ''I sacrefice my remaining token to tribute summon this my Shadow Vampire''Leein replied placing the drawn card on the disk. A huge black shadow took over the reapers side of the field consuming the second demon creature. Just then two dark red eyes appeared from the shadow then arms and legs until there was a giant monster like titan standing in front of the reaper. ''What is that thing...''Hera asked fear being shown in his voice. ''I now use the effect of Shadow when this card is succesfully tribute summoned i can specail summon another dark vampire monster''the reaper ended.
A black casket took form next to the titan monster. ''Its time to feed my loyal servant''the reaper began to chant. '' Awaken from your slumber and make my victims bleed'' with the finish of the reapers chant the casket slowwly oppned and a second vampire emerged. This one was diffrent it had blue hair that covered his left eye. He was wearing an old fashion suit and a huge red cape. ''Meet my Vampire Lord''the reaper stated clenching his fists tigthly. Hera looked at the two vampires standing next to the reaper. Knowing there was about to be a showdown bewtween heroes and imortal monsters.
''Before the pain i will introduce to your forever home of suffering''the reaper stated holding a card in his hand then inserting it into the disk. Three building shot out from the ground followed by two more than another three in front of those ones until Hera found himself in a dark villiage. He looked up to see a blood red moon now in the sky above him piercing down a blood red line at him. ''Where am i...''Hera said looking around. The Reaper and Hera were now standing on roofs of the building. ''Attack his Freedom Vampire Lord go DISCIPLES OF DARKNESS!'' Vampire Lord swifttly shot its arms out causing three black shadows to shot out of his red cape. As they got closser to Freedom they took form of bats going straight towards him.
''That makes no sense my monster is stronger''Hera argued looking at Vampire Lords attack points and Freedoms. Four hundred point diffrence. The bats got closser and closser to Freedom as Freedom prepared for the attack. ''Due to the effect of Vampire Kingdom when i attack with a zombie type monster before damage calculation my zombies gain five hundred''the reaper explained. His sentence caught Hera off guard as the answer to Hera's last queston was finally known. ''That means his Vampire Lord is stronger...''Hera studdered.
Freedom slammed his fist into the ground causing a forcefield to appear in front of him. ''I use the effect of Freedom to negate this one attack''Hera explained. To the horror of Hera one of the bats struck Freedom also striking Hera. The sound of an alarm errupted from Hera's duel disk. Weakly he looked at it to the see the words discard a card written in the middle of the disk. ''While your Freedom can negate an attack you still take damage which sets of Vampire Lord's effect''the reaper explained. ''When Vampire Lord deals damage to you, i can declare one card type and you must discard a type with of the same name from your deck to the graveyard''the reaper explained.
Hera stood awaiting for the reapers answer. Slowwly feeling the pain from the vampire lord's attacking taking effect on him. ''Ill chose spell''the reaper finaly answered. With the answer of the reaper Hera pulled out his deck, skimmed threw it and discarded a spell from his deck. The second the card went into the duel disk all the towers around them lit up with a red ora similiar to the collor of the red moon around them. ''Now Kingdom goes off''the reaper replied pulling his deck out, skimming threw it and also sending a card from it until to the graveyard.
Iron suddenly exploded to the horror of Hera. ''What...''Hera said covering his face from the explosion. Freedom stood alone in front of Hera all that was left of Iron was the smoke from his demise. ''Per the effect of kingdom when a card is sent from my oppenets deck to the graveyard i can discard one dark vampire and destroy one card on the field''the reaper explained. Vampire Lord placed his hands back into his cape covering his fangs. Blood dripped off the arm of Hera where the bat struck ''blood...''Hera said not beliving his eyes. {This cant be real}he thought to himself. ''Oh its very true i told you on this night we will drain you dry''the reaper anounced.
''This is redicolous...''Hera said slowwly geting to his feet. The reaper placed both his hands back into his robe. Silently ending his turn leaving just two cards in his hand. ''Okay this is no game anymore''Hera replied wipping the blood of his arm and looking at it. To his horror it was real as real as the blood inside his body. ''I DRAW!''Hera screamed quickly drawing a card. ''I activate Monster Reborn to specail summon back IRON!'' a yellow light took form in the sky with the shadow of Iron levitating into the air. ''Hes back...AND HES MAD!''Hera screamed. ''IRON SHOW NO MERCY GO FULL THROTTLE MISSILE LAUNCH!''Hera screamed with all the anger in his body.
On the faces of both Iron and Freedom was the look of straight anger similiar to what Hera currently had on his face. Iron shot into the air firing three rockets at the towers ''What..''the reaper said bracing for the impact. ''WHEN IRON ATTACKS I CAN DESTROY ONE CARD AND I HAVE DECIDED TO DESTROY VAMPIRE KINGDOM'' with the finish of Hera's sentence the explosion took form. With it the towers crumbled one by one until both Hera and the reaper found themselfs back in the dark forest. Flames from the explosion bursted from the smoke striking the reaper and causing his entire body to shot back. ''GOT HIM!''Hera shouted raising his fist in victory.
Smoke now flooded the forest. No movement or sound. Hera victorious pose turned into a serious one as he awaited for a sound. For what seemed like an eternity there was no sound, no movement, no nothing. Just the sight of more and more smoke appearing from the battle field. No longer was this a duel but now a battle ground. Shadow Vampire still stood on the reapers side but there was no reaper. Still Hera waited because deep down he knew the battle was not over. Finally a shadow rose from the carnage. Its body taking form inside the smoke standing in front of Shadow Vampire. ''Your still there''Hera said quietly trying to focous his eyes on the reaper.
Just as Hera went to speak another word something caught his eye and he found himself in a flashback. Back at the duel with Markes and Bastion. Him standing in the raptors not watching the duel but instead looking straight at the third kid. His odd white eyes piercing through Hera's body as if looking right into his soul. Seeing his fears, emotions nothing to be hidden from his cold look. As much as he tried to look away he couldnt something about this kid and his unormal eyes was sending a chill up his spine he was trying to hide. Hera clutched the rail as tight as possible trying to fight off the fear he knew he was feeling not understanding why it was there or how to stop it. ''Its you...''Hera's voice answered out and with the finish of his sentence the flashback ended.
Like in the flashback now Hera found himself looking at those white eyes standing in front of them. There owener the reaper's identy finally known. ''Its you..''he spoke again this time speaking the words to the real reaper. The mask the reaper was wearing was now completly shattered revailing the same white eyes. Piece by piece the mask continued to shatter until finally the face of the reaper revealed. The third kid stood in front of Hera. Blood pouring from his left eye from the last attack. ''The attacks are all real''Hera said noticing the impact that Iron's last attack made.
Hera's fist tightened at the reveil of the reaper. His identy in front of him. Every one of his victims scream being heard in Hera's head as if he was watching a horror movie. ''HOW COULD YOU''Hera screamed ''ALL THOSE INNOCENT KIDS!'' ''AND MR. REJI''Hera stopped looking down to see Thomas still down on the ground below him . ''All he wanted was answers for his dad's disaperance''Hera said quietly. He no longer felt a cold chill go up his spine but instead anger running through his entire body. The kid didnt say a word he just kept looking at Hera his white eyes again looking through him.
''WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!''Hera screamed. ''The end..''the kid said coldly. ''NO WHAT IS YOUR NAME , YOUR VICTIMS DESERVE TO KNOW!''Hera screamed. The kid didnt say another word he just continued to look at Hera. ''Vamp...''the boy finally answered. Hera's eyes narrowed to Shadow Vampire now seeing the familiarity of what it was wearing and what the boy was wearing ''your real name''Hera said returning his attention to the kid. ''Leein''the boy answered. Hera's eyes widdened now knowing the name of the killer that everyone in duel academy was afraid of. The want to leave and just tell all his friends and get there assistance but deep down he knew he could not leave.
Leein grabbed the remaing pieces of the mask and threw them to the ground. His hair spiked with a white taint on the tips. His whte eyes resembling the collor of a ghost. On his shoulder a strange black duel disk. It looked to be in the shape of a bat. A black front with two sharp pieces on the sides which meant to be the bats wings. Two red jewels were in the right and left side of the head resembling the bats eyes. ''Thats a new one''Hera said examing the duel disk. Every detail on it he was notting in his head. {My turn is not finish i can still attack with Iron then Freedom}Hera thought to himself remembering where the duel left of before Iron's effect.
Hera backed up ''there is absoulutly no escape''Leein answered with his cold tone. With Leein's sentence Hera found himself frozen not able to make another step or anything. It was no trick or maggic but instead the need and want to defeat the reaper. ''I wont back down''Hera said examing the cards in his hand. His eyes then looked at Freedom and Iron. ''Together we will put an end to this nightmare''Hera stated pointing at Leein. ''Foolish Hera Yuki''Leein stopped. ''This is no nightmare, this is the end of you''a white cold fog beggan to emerge from under Hera making the shivers return.
{I made a promise to you Thomas and i intend to keep it}Hera thought fighting off the shivers and fear. ''Even if it means to my last breath''Hera said quietly the images of his friends appearing in his head creating a smile to take form. A smile he didnt know for the longest time but now was home to him. Candice and John's familiar voices echoing in his head fighting off the shadow's he was facing. Inside the head of Hera he was safe but on the outside he was in the darkness using his new found friends as a light to try and escape. ''Forgive me''Hera said returning his attention to Leein ''If i dont come home''Hera finished fully intent on finishing the duel no matter the danger.
Turn 14. Under The Pitch Black Hood
Iron flew at Shadow vampire destroying him with a blast of light. Leein shot back from the impact covering his face. ''NOW FREEDOM ATTACK HIM DIRECTLY! '' Freedom ran at Leein punching him and causing him to fall to one knee. Slowwly Leein got to his feet his life points now at a small fifteen hundred. Hera looked look at the remaing two cards in his hand before ending his turn. ''I end my turn''Hera replied. Leein had a cold stare looking straight at Hera. ''I will make you bleed for that one''Leein replied drawing a card and looking at it. With the reveal of the card a dark smile never seen on his face appeared. ''Time for a crimson beauty Leein replied his eyes meeting Hera's again.
''With the effect of Vampire Sorcerer in my graveyard i can now banish him to tribute summon one dark vampire from my hand and this one is a beautiful disaster''Leein said a gleam appearing in his eye. ''From the shadows her laugh can be heard using the darkness as her veil''Leein began to chant building up something. ''Gift this world with your demonic beauty and seal its fate with a bloddy kiss..Introducing MY VAMPIRE VAMP!''Leein screamed placing the drawn card on the field. Hords of bats flew up from the ground in the middle of them a luminous figure arrose. A third vampire. This one a female.
Her hair was white and her eyes a deep purple. Her outfit consisted of a gray top covering her chest area with purple cross for the button. She had two long white wings in her back and gray pants on the bottom with gray boots. She laughed manicaly liking her lips as she looked at Hera the bats still around her. ''Effect i can now equip one monster with higher attack to her when shes succesfully tribute summoned''Leein explained. ''WHAT!''Hera shouted. Vamp's eyes lit purple creating a purple ora around Freedom. ''GO IMORTAL GAZE!''Leein screamed with the finish of Leein's sentence Freedom slowwly turned into a black ora that clashed right into Vampire Vamps stomach causing her attack to increase.
''She...She..She feed on him''Hera said not beliving his eyes. ''And now her attack will increase equal to that monsters attack so that makes her attack four thousand twenty three hundred''Leein finished. ''ATTACK GO BLODDY DANCE.. SPIRAL!''' Vamp threw herself into the air and with a laugh spun into a red twister. It spun and spun until it shot off a single red spike that went straight towards Iron destroying him instantly causing an explosion that threw both Hera and Thomas back. ''This is just the begging of your pain hero''Leein mockingly stated. Vamp slowwly levitated down in front of Leein again still laughing.
Hera slowwly stood to his feet holding his right arm in pain. Again there was a cut on his arm. ''I wont stop...''he said weakly starting to slowwly walk towards Leein. ''I set a card and end''Leein said inserting one of the four cards in his hand into the disk. ''Then..its my go''Hera said slowwly drawing a card from his deck. ''I activate Re-Fusion''Hera said a little bit of his life drained from him the second he activated the card. Purple and blue light shot out in front of Hera causing a spiral to take form. Two arms reached out threw the spiral along with Iron's helmet and finally his whole body. ''At the cost of eight hundred lifepoints i can specail summon one fusion monster and i chose Iron''Hera explaing feeling his legs slowwly giving out.
''Not done yet..i activate the effect of my Avenger Hero Agent X'' ''A red X appeared on the ground in front of Iron as a giant lightning bolt came down and struck it. ''When i specail summon a Avenger Hero i can banish this card and specail summon a Avenger Hero from my extra deck with a level equal to one on the field'' ''I specail summon level 6 Avenger Hero Thunder Punisher''Hera stated his voice getting a little stronger. Two heroes now stood in front of Hera. Two Vampire stood in front of Leein. ''Iron ATTACK VAMPIRE VAMP!''Hera demanded. Again Iron bursted into the air going straight at at Vamp As you know before my monster attacks i can destroy one card on the field! '' GO SECOND MISSLE LAUNCH!'' Another three missle shot out from the metal man's back going straight at Vamp.
''NO MATTER HOW STRONG YOUR MONSTER'S ARE MY WILL WILL OVERPOWER!''Hera screamed. Vamp screamed as she exploded. To the horror of Hera the laughter of Vamp could be heard coming from the darkness. ''Shes still alive...''Hera replied. ''If Vampire Vamp has a equip and is destroyed she instantly resurects''Leein explained. ''Thats fine because Iron is now stronger go IRON SLAY HER!''Hera demanded. ''TRAP ACTIVATE, VAMPIRE TAKEOVER''Leein interupted. Before Iron could strike Vamp three towers shot out from the ground then three more and four more. Once agan Hera found himself in the vampire kingdom.
''This again''Hera said looking at the scenary. {That card gives every zombie five hunred if i remember so she will be stronger than Iron but not punisher}Hera thought. ''Due to the effect of takeover i can specail summon another vampire in defence mode, i chose Vampire Lord''Leein explained. Thunder Punisher raised his hamer causing a lightning bolt to come crashing down. Punisher struck the hamer down quickly creating a explosion to accur and destroy Vampire Vamp. ''She falls''Hera said victoriously. ''You will be avenged''Leein replied angrly. ''Ill end my turn''Hera said.
Leein drew a card looking at Vampire Lord. ''I see now''Leein said ''the reason for her demise''Leein started saying. ''When the hunger is finally complete, the true hunt beggins and with it the real horror is born...''Leein stopped. A yellow light began to appear behind Vampire Lord. Slowwly he beggan to transform his eyes widdening. ''BE REBORN VAMPIRE GENESIS!''Leein screamed. Blue lights shot out from Vampire Lord's cape. His body formed into a shadow that grew and grew until it was two times his normal size. Now standing above Leein was a purple monster. Dark red piercing eyes looked down at Hera viciously growling at him.
''What is that thing...'''Hera asked. ''Vampire Lord's true form''Leein answered looking up at his monster with honor. ''I send my Vampire's Curse to the graveayard to specail summon Shadow Vampire from the grave''Leeins stated inserting one his three cards into the disk. The huge monster let out a giant roar causing the ground below him to crack. Shadow Vampires hand shot out from the ground as he pulled himself up from the dead. ''Now i activate the effect of my Vampire Grace from the graveyard, at the cost of two thousand life points i can special summon her''Leein explained. A red ora appearing around Leein's body as he screamed in pain. ''He sacrefices himself for them''Hera stated.
A second coffin appeared from the ground next to the vampire lord this one was purple ''With honor I awaken you, Emerge and show the most gracious fear'' again with Leeins chant the casket opened and there stood another vampire. A more queenish looking vampire stood next to the genesis. She had a long blue gown and was holding a giant scepter with a red jewel on the top. She also wore a blue crown and in her other hand held a chalice with a red liquid in it. ''May I introduce the Vampire Grace''Leein stated. ''I will now avenge my Vamp i use the effect of Vampire Grace to declare one card type and you must discard that type so i chose monster''Leein explained. Hera pulled his deck out discarding a monster into the disk.
The second the card went into the duel disk all the towers around them lit up with a red ora similiar to the collor of the red moon around them. ''Now Kingdom goes off''Leein said quickly pulling his deck out and inserting a card into the discard pile. Iron again suddenly exploded in front of Hera again. ''Now Geneis attack THUNDER PUNISHER GO CRIMSON BLOOD STORM!''Leein screamed. The huge monster clutched both its arm together. Dark ora begging to form in its chest. Three dark blast's shot out from his chest destroying Thunder Punisher imediatly. ''UGH...''Hera shouted his life points quickly goind down further. ''You are now wide open''Leein replied. Three monsters stood in front of Hera.
Ready to plunge at the moments notice. ''That wont be happening''Hera said. ''I activate a card from my graveayard now that the timing is correct'' a single card peeked out from the disk. Quickly Hera grabbed it revealing it. ''Its called Avenger Hero Red Witch and it holds a very specail effect''Hera said. ''When two Avenger Heroes are destroyed in one turn i can banish both and now end the battle phase''Hera explianed. ''HERA!'''a female voice screamed out from the forest. ''YOU THERE!''a male voice answered out. Leein watched as a smile appeared on the face of Hera. ''My friends are here, its over''Hera said knowing the voices.
Hera turned his back to Leein. ''I know your identy now and when my friends find us this game of yours is over''Hera said. ''Its over, you faiiled''with the finish of Hera's sentence. The eyes of Leein went dark. Solid coldness took form on them. A look of both anger and disgust. For the second time Hera caught something that made him victorious tone turn into a fear with no words. Leein's eyes were no longer a normal brown collor but the ghost white that was haunting Hera's dreams. ''You think i failed''Leein said angrly clutching the cards remaning in his hand. ''There is an escape through this abyss dont you see it?''Hera asked.
Leein pointed his head down ''you think this is abyss''Leein stopped. ''You dont know pain but at the end of this night you will''Leein snapped. ''I go into main phase two''Leein answered out. ''What...''Hera said not beliving his ears. ''I normal summon the tuner monster Plague Spreader Zombie''Leein replied. A small animal like zombie pounced onto Leeins field. It look to be a mixture of numerous dead animal's. With a koala body and snake like tail. ''A tuner...''Hera said looking at the ghoulish monster. ''I now syn my level two plague spreader and level six vampire grace''Leein answered out. ''Together me and my monster's will send you to the real abyss'' a orange flame took form in the sky creating a dragon like image.
''Burn everything in your path fallen dragon king from hell, RISE UP SCARLIGHT RED DRAGON ARCHIFIEND!''Leein screamed. The flame bursted revealing the image of the same dragon Thomas faced before collapsing. An agged dragon noting its broken horn and one of its claws seemingly bound in a cast. Violently it hissed at Hera. Leein's head still down not looking at Hera. ''I will burn everythng..''Leein said quietly. ''HERA WHERE ARE YOU?!''the female voice screamed. Her voice getting closser and closser ''NO STAY BACK! GO AWAY!''Hera shouted turning to the direction of the voice. ''RUN!''Hera screamed. ''NO time for that, i will send you and your friends and burn them straight to HELL!''Leein screamed.
Scarlight tightened its fists. ''END THIS NOW, GO AVENGING HELL BURNING!'' a bright orange flame took form in the palm of Scarlight. ''CANDICE RUN!PLEASE''Hera pleaded. Slowwly the dragon rushed to the ground. Everythng suddenly paused as Hera saw the hair of Candice quickly run past a bush. ''You need to run...''Hera said his voice getting lower and lower. ''WE ARE COMING FOR YOU BUDDY''the voice of John screamed echoing as loud as possible. Just then Hera felt the ground get hot looking down noticing flames at his feet.
The small flames grew until they got to his legs. Hera tried to kick the flames off him but he couldnt they kept burning and burning. Rising and rising. ''Run...please''his voice getting lower and lower until he could not even hear his own voice no more. Finally Hera clossed his eyes and the second he opened them there was a huge orange flash followed by an explosion. The motionless body of Hera shot into the air his life points draining to zero. Motionless and slowwly he began to fall. The orange flash consuming him as he got absorbed into it along with Leein who compelty vanished into the light.
''HERA!'''Candice screamed quickly hitting the ground finding his friend passed out on the ground facedown next to him Thomas. ''What the hell happen..''Jake asked seeing the scars on both Hera and Thomas. ''Hes burned''Candice replied seeing the burn marks on Hera's arms. ''GET HELP''she screamed turning to John. With her responce John quickly jumped up and ran back into the forest. ''Hera we are gonna get you help just hang in there''Candice said holding Hera's head close. Just then something caught Candice's attention of the ground the last pieces of the reapers masks. ''It was him...''she said recognizing the mask from her legend. ''He did this...''Candice replied tears falling from her eyes.
She looked at her wrist reading the time. ''Eleven fifty nine..a minuit till midnight''she said quietly. ''This cannot be happening''she said tightening her grip on the head of Hera trying to get him to respond but no matter what she did he was not moving. {He went to see if the legend was real because of me}Candice thought to herself slowwly blamming herslef for everything. Light peared out from the forest as John's voice could be heard guiding people to her location. It was then she reliezed the legend she told everyone about was now a cold reality they lived in. 'HERA!''she screamed her voice echoing through the silents of the dark woods.
