The lightsabers ignited. The apprentice had learned since Geonosis, attacking alongside his master.

As Count Dooku blocked against the auburn and dirty-blonde haired Jedi generals - his master watching on from the chair he demanded he be chained to - he noted something with silent amusement.

The way the two Jedi fought, so together in their movements. This had been there throughout the Clone Wars, Dooku supposed, but he noticed something new for the first time.

It wasn't just the way the Jedi fought together, but the way they fought for each other. The blind way they protected each other.

The former Jedi Master knew an attachment if he saw it.

And attachments were a big no-no with the Jedi council. How would Yoda feel about this?

Parry, thrust. He pushed Kenobi back with the help of the Force. The spark of anger in Skywalker's eyes almost made him laugh.

Anakin lunged - obviously angry about the attack to his master- and the Count kept up the fight. The connection between the boy and his master was almost visible.

Block, slice. The ex-Jedi noticed the Jedi Master making his way up the stairs, slicing through the droids.

While the Sith Lord fought the Hero with No Fear, he thought about his former grand-padawan. He remembered back when he had been in the Jedi Order, and Qui-Gon's obedient apprentice. He never would've thought that Obi-Wan would be one to form attachments.

But he obviously had, with how desperate he was to get back and help his former apprentice.

Obi-Wan's lunge amused the Count further. He easily pushed the Chosen One against the wall with the Force, suspending Obi-Wan in the air, before carelessly tossing the older Jedi across the room.

When he noticed his act had Skywalker's attention, he grabbed the ledge above the unconscious Jedi with the force, causing it to fall. In the Force he could almost feel Anakin's silent cry.

The boy attacked again, this time revenge burning in his eyes and through his movements.

Attachments, anger, revenge.

He'll make a great Sith Lord, Dooku thought in his last moments. As soon as we get rid of Kenobi...
