Hi everyone! I love The Last Song and this is my first fanfiction for it. Please review, no flames.
Disclaimer: I don't own The Last Song
Will and I were sitting on the beach watching the ocean silently. I stared at the horizon intently and thought about my Dad. He was one of the nicest people I know and he would be gone in less than a year.
"You okay?"
I looked over at Will and decided to be truthful. "No." I looked back at the water. "I just want to walk in the ocean and never look back."
Will nodded and followed my gaze. "I felt exactly like that with Mikey."
"Ronnie!" I looked over and saw Jonah running across the beach. "I'm going to the hospital to see Dad."
I frowned in confusion. "Who's taking you?"
"Blaze," Jonah pointed to my friend who was waiting at her car. She waved when she saw me and I waved back.
I pulled him in and kissed his forehead. "Okay sweetie, I'll be there later." Jonah nodded and took off towards Blaze.
"How's he doing?" Will asked.
"I don't think he's gotten it yet."
"I'd love to be a kid again." Will turned to me. "Remember how innocent the world was? There was no death, no hate. Everything was perfect."
I smiled at him. "I remember; those were the best years of my life."
"Me too," Will smiled back. "Well besides this summer."
I looked into his eyes. "This summer was pretty good." I agreed. Will leaned in and kissed me. I still feel sparks every time he kisses me; sparks and total, complete love.
I pulled away and smiled. "You know when I kiss you I'm a kid again living in a perfect world."
Will smiled and kissed my forehead. "I feel like that too."
I smiled and looked up at him, kissing him again. We pulled away for the second time and I looked at my Dad's house.
"I want to see him."
"Your Dad?"
I smiled. "Well yes him too, but first I want to see your brother's grave."
Will looked at me curiously. "Why?"
"Because I want to meet him and that's the only way I can."
Will smiled and pulled me up into a piggy back. "When you put it that way, how can I say no?" I laughed and kissed his cheek as he took off running with me on his back all the way to his car.
