Imbalance

Before Luke came to accept his destiny by the hand of Obi-Wan the rebellion was formed and fighting the empire along the front lines. If not for the brave souls who served as informants this rebellion would have been short lived and if not for the empire's spies maybe the empire would have lived even shorter. You decide who to trust.

The faint glow of the holo-deck lit the cave with a shadowy dance.

From the center formed a small creature with long ears wearing the ceremonial robe of the Jedi.

"Master Yoda" came a voice from a similarly robed figure

"Fallen the republic has!" Came the grim news, "Taken refuge have I, in the swamps at Degobah. To await him who will bring balance to the Force."

"Will the wait be long my master?"

"I fear it will. By that time many shall fall to the dark side." The hologram flickered, "Wait you must. Use your instincts to know when the time is right."

"Master my training has been… inadequate there is still much I must learn." The robed figure stated turning his back to the hologram.

The small figure shook his head, "Believe in yourself you must! Critical, your mission is, to aid in returning balance to the Force"

"Are you certain that you don't have too much faith in me?"

"Faith is not necessary… in this matter our last hope, you are!"

The robed figure stood for a while seeming to be unhappy with the response but in the end accepting it.

"I will not let you down Master!"

"Yours is a unique gift my Padawan. Know you will succeed I do." The figure said before the hologram buzzed off and he was left alone.

The figure did nothing but stand there for a while as the sound of the water dropping from the roof of the cave caused him to reflect.

He was thus in a state of meditation when another sound cracked the silence of the cave. He turned around to see the new face that had appeared on the holodeck.

"Lord Sidious!" The figure said bowing on one knee

"Is it done?" The voice of Sidious echoed through the cave

"I have done as you have commanded my Lord."

"Very good my young apprentice. The death of such a Master will be mourned by those who would dare stand against the Empire. Come it is time to start your mission." Sidious said as the hologram blinked out of existence.

"Yes, My Master it is!"

Ok so I have taken a while before writing my next story and for my fans I apologize. I have only added this small prologue to the story I am going to be writing for Star Wars.
