Mele sat down on the empty table. The tables all around her were full of crowded people and they were very messily eating the crap this place called food.

She slouched down on the chair and grabbed her spoon. Today was not her luck and she had to be sent out to do something. She put the spoon back down on the table and took a deep breath.

"Well at least I can eat something..." she mumbled as she grabbed her loaf of bread. "The bread rations are quite small today.." she said to herself as she chewed slowly.

Some minutes had passed and no one had sat next or in front of her. Mele looked down as she got rather lonely after seeing everyone with someone.

"Mmh." a soft hum came from next to her as she looked up.

"Oh... Annie... how are you?" Mele said to the girl in front her as she felt a smile grow on her face.

"I'm doing fine, thank you." she replied stoically as she placed herself next to Mele.

Mele looked towards the other girl. "Thanks for sitting next to me..." Mele said quietly.

The blonde looked at her. "I thought you looked lonely... so I made a choice to sit next to a person." She said with her blue eyes flickering. "I don't consider you much an enemy so, that person is you."

Mele eyes grew in happiness. "Thanks!" she said as she turned back towards her food and started eating again.

What she didn't see was the ever-so small smile on the other girl's face.
