Okay,so I'm new to TW only in the middle of season two but hey I'm getting there. At some point. It might be a bit, read a heck of a lot OOC, just gloss over that. Thanks and enjoy, I guess.

Stiles and Derek had been dating awhile, but there was something lacking. It wasn't sex, because they were having enough of that. Stiles could testified to that. It was just that Stiles realised he had fallen for Derek and that realization hit him like a ton of bricks in the middle of class. Looking very shell-shocked to the outside world, he had no idea what to do. How the hell was he supposed to tell Derek? Was he even going to?

That happened about a week ago and since then Stiles had tried not to act weird, but of course the stupid werewolves picked up on it. Seriously there was no winning in his situation. Sure the Pack had known about them both, but the increased looks from them between Derek and himself were unnerving him even more.

Okay the practically bolting every time a conversation with Derek finished was probably not the way to go but he was still very much freaked out about the whole being-in-love thing. Of course Derek had to notice and see it as a bad sign, thinking their relationship was about to go to hell.

All these things converge on to one early evening mid February in Beacon Hills, the Stilinski household. More specifically Stiles' bedroom, where he was currently doing some homework when he heard a familiar thud behind him.

"Do non of you werewolves not know how to use the door anymore? I mean, sure you're all welcome here, but use the door for gods sake." Stiles complained before turning around and spotting Derek, just standing there watching him.

After a couple of minutes of silence, Derek moved towards Stiles. In his usual threatening manner, that's when Stiles knew he was in trouble. Derek never looked like that with him anymore, he had always looked kinder not so I'm-going-to-kill-you.

"What did I do wrong?" Derek asked.

Stiles just stared at him bewildered. "What do you mean? Everything is fine."

"No, nothing is fine. You're pulling back from me. I want to know what I did wrong so I wont do it again." Derek said.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Derek. We're fine." Stiles said smiling at him, reaching out to touch his arm.

"Then why are you pulling away from me?" Derek asked with the most hurt and betrayed look Stiles had ever seen.

"I wasn't pulling away. I just had a lot to do these past couple days." Stiles said, hoping that Derek hadn't noticed the little jump his heart did.

Derek sighs. "Don't lie to me to spare my feelings, Stiles." Derek moves closer for a kiss. "If you don't want to do this anymore you just had to tell me."

Derek pulls away and walks towards the window. That's when it dawns on Stiles that Derek is leaving. Not leaving as in going away for a while, but in the sense of leaving this relationship.

"Oh god, no this isn't what I want. Oh what have I done. Dear lord, all I want is to love him and him to know that I love him." Stiles thought and, ironically, without thinking says the one thing he's been dreading to say.

"I love you."

Derek stops in his tracks and turns around to look at Stiles.

"I love you." Stiles repeats.
