Time had brought your heat to me.

He traveled time."
He was breaking a rule. He was the Doctor, he broke rules everyday but this was different.
Actually, if you look at it, he was only breaking a rule if he got caught.
And he wasn't going to get catch. The other him was somewhere (hard to remember where) on the other side of town.
It's kinda funny, he thought as he stood outside of a shop. To wish to be a man you've already been.
What he'd do differently, he mused, what he'd do the same.
He pulled his hand out of his pocket, pulled back his sleeve, and read his watch. It wouldn't be long now… He shouldn't be here he knew, this was another life; another face; All of it in the past.
And while he has another life and a different face now, he still has the same hearts.
And sometime he needs her.
Especially when someone you care for is calling about their missing child and you know their never going to get that child back, at least, not in the way a parent would imagine. And for the time being, he was running from that. Or maybe he was hiding? Was there really any difference?
The Doctor knows he can't have her the way he wants: he can't go up to and tell her of all the adventures he's had since he's last seen her. The people he's meeting: Amelia, Amy, Rory, River (a frown fell pond his face, maybe he'd leave her out.) And how she would have loved to have met the TARDIS; they had a special bong after all.
It's time now, she coming up the street. He doesn't move; he doesn't plan on it. He just watches her: She hasn't met him yet, but, he thinks will a sly smile on his face, she about too.
As the Doctor walks back to the TARDIS, he realizes he shouldn't be doing this; messing with time and space. And that he wouldn't do it again.
But once long ago, he told himself he would never… could never fall in love again.
And then he met Rose.
