Harry's Flower
AN: Hello all readers! This is my first time writing a fanfict EVER!...so I would love if the flames were tiny or even better….none at all! :D
Disclaimer: I never will own Harry Potter….but I do own the cute Harry plushy and every book and movie (that came out already) in my room. XD
Harry sighed. The Yule Ball was coming up. As the unwanted fourth challenger to the Triwizard Tournament (they shouldn't call it that now…what with him being in it for Merlin's sake!) he needed to find a….date to the ball. Apparently being a mistake in the first place didn't matter; the rules stated all competitors have to have a partner in the first dance.
"To bloody hell with the first dance…..I never wanted to enter in the first place!" he thought moodily as he descended the moving staircases to the Great Hall. "Who could I possibly ask to the dance without seeming too desperate?" he wondered out loud. An image of Cho Chang entered his mind. Flustered, he shook his messy hair and ran a hand through it.
"No…..she's with Cedric…..I can't possibly…" he blushed. A figure came into his vision….Ginny Weasley. He smiled. The girl he secretly liked for so long. The only issue was getting his best friend Ron to allow him to even consider dating his sister. The girl was like a tiger lily in his eyes…..ironic with her golden flame of orange hair and his mother's name. The girl is…..a cheerful face in the glum of the messes he was constantly in over his head.
"Harry? Is that you over there?" she called out in a sing song voice. He smiled politely as she walked over. "I heard…..you needed a….partner for the dance." She squeaked. He nodded.
"Yeah….I'm still looking." He answered rather awkwardly. They stood in minute silence. "Ginny…..are you…..planning on going?" he hinted slowly. Her brown eyes widened before blushing furiously. "Ginny?" he asked slightly softer. She glanced at him sadly.
"Sorry Harry….Neville Longbottom asked me two nights ago and well…..he seemed so desperate I couldn't say no without feeling horrible. I was just asking. I know the Parvati twins need partners….you should try them." She added kindly. He nodded. She quietly excused herself and walked off to lunch.
"That Neville…..curse him…." Harry thought glumly. He sighed. She did help though; the Parvati girls would suffice until he could finally catch his true girl. He walked to lunch with a determined smile on his face.
