Arizona was walking out of her peds ward when a young boy stopped her in her path.
"Doctor Robbins, I haven't visited Santa, how will he know what I want for Christmas?" The boy asked.
"He's Santa, he just knows those things"
"But Sammy, in the bed next to me said you have to tell him"
"Well, I'm good friends with some of Santa's elves and I tell them what the kids in peds want and then they tell Santa." Arizona said and wondered what made her say it.
"Really, can you tell me about them?" The boy asked.
Arizona nodded and grabbed two chairs for them to sit on.
"Well... there is Callie, who builds the main structures. So she builds the inside frame and makes sure that the toy will last and gives the other elves something to work with"
"Who else is there?" The young boy was captivated.
"Well there is also Mark who does the finishing touches on all of the toys, makes them pretty. And there's Derek who works on brain teasers and all those types of games. And of course there is Bailey and Meredith who help all over the place, where ever they can help, they are very multi-talented"
Arizona had never seen a kid more interested in what she had to say.
"Christina and Teddy gets all the toys to life, almost like they give them a heart" Arizona had a full blown grin on her face "And Addison makes all the toys for the little babies because the need toys too. And Lexie, well she is a genius, she gives out all the assignments and remembers which kids toys have been made and whose hasn't"
"And because Santa is also very busy his head elf Owen oversees oll of the work that they do"
"Who else is there?" The boy asked, eyes sparkling.
"Those are the elves I know. And they have been told what you want for Christmas" Arizona smiled softly.
"Thank you Doctor Robbins"
"No problem, but it's time for bed"
The boy hugged the blonde and rushed back to bed.
A few days later Arizona was having lunch with her wife and friends when the same little boy came over to say good bye.
"Doctor Robbins, are these all your friends?"
"Yeah they are"
"What are their names?"
The group, consisting of Addison, Callie, Derek, Meredith, Bailey, Mark, Lexie, Christina and Owen introduced themselves.
"Shouldn't you all be at the North Pole?" The boy asked confussed.
The group themselves looked very lost.
The boys parents called him over and he waved goodbye.
"What did he mean, North Pole?" Mark asked.
Arizona chuckled "Have I got a story to tell you elves".
