"Rikku!"
Damn it! the blonde paniced as she threw closed her magizine and jumped off the bad. And so it begins.
"Rikku!"
She giggled as she ran out of the room. Where to? She didn't know yet, but right now, anywhere was safer than here.
This was a regular occurmce And she thought it was safe to say, Paine did not like cold showers.
"Rikku get over here now!"
Like that's gonna happen. she thought. She could hear the footsteps behind her and was not gonna sit around and wait for person making them.
Plus, it wasn't even her fault. So what id she liked being clean? And Paine didn't have to shower right after her. But that wouldn't stop her from killing her.
"I mean it!" Paine's voice echoed through the hall infront of the room Rikku was now in.
Rikku's eyes darted around the rom looking for somewhere, anywhere to hide.
Behind the counter with Barkeep?
No.
Behind tha plant?
Yeah right, that'll work.
Under the bed?
So obveous it just might work!
She dove under the first bed, which just so happened to be Paine's. She wiggled futher under just as she heard the door open.
A few moments of silence, and hr heart was racing before:
"Barkeep, where's Rikku?"
"Ms. Rikku?" Barkeep shook his head. "No idea."
"I know you know." Paine said calmly, carfully hiding the angr in her voice, obveously not wanting to frighten the hypello.
Silence.
Rikku couoldn't decied if this was a wonderful,or terrible thing.
But what followed next was definatly bad.
Steps up the stairs.
Rikku covered her mouth to stop her from breathing heavily, or laughing. It was kunda funny, okay funny was an understatment, it was freakin' hilarious.
Paine, miss-tough-don't-mess-with-me-chick, dripping wet, in a towel, running around the airship? Definatly a sight to see.
"Rikku? Rikku I wanna talk to you."
Ha, yeah right.
"I want to, uh, borrow your top." Paine said pacing the floor. "I know you're here."
Rikku laughed. "Yeah but you don't know where."
Damnit! That was out loud! Baka Rikku! Baka!
Paine grinned as she knelt down and lifted the sheets from the ground, only to catch a glimps of the Al Bhed girl scrambeling backwards.
"Hi." she smiled, holding the towel standing up.
"Bye." Rikku squeeked attempting to run past, but failing."Okay then." she forced a smile as she was forced to sit on the bed. This was no fun when she got caught. Although Paine ina towel did lighten it up.
"So Rikku, you really like being clean eh?"
"Uh," she stuttered, "yeah. Well, with my lack of clothes I do kinda get dirtey."
Not that Paine was complaining about Rikku's choice of wardrobe, but if it meant cold water unexpectadly in the middle of a warm relaxing shower, then something needed to change. "But using all the hot water?"
Rikku smirked, "Well, if that's all the problem is, next time just shower with me."
Paine returned the look. "Fine." and turned heading down the stairs. Not the the solution she was hoping for but it would do.
