There's HOPE
I love her – But she told me
That she wouldn't love
Someone like me,
I try to stop my tears
That was forming in
My eyes, with a sigh,
I look up to her –
What I saw was a different LADY...
Her hazel eyes –
Those eyes that encourage
My affections for her –
Those eyes who I love
More than anyone else,
Even though they
Look at me with mortification
And search for faults –
I cannot despise her...
But now the light in her eyes we're gone
And had been replaced
With sadness and pain –
Which I cause…
Her pink lips –
Those lips that I
Long desired to seal
My lips upon –
That soft and pink curve
On her lovely face, who
Looks beautiful when
She smiles and laughs –
And now, it was being bitten
By her – she tried to stop
The tears I cause…
She was fighting back
Her tears that seem
To fall like a waterfall
On her face – her lovely face, who
Had been pale and stained with tears –
Wounded me, because I
Know that I gave her the reason
Not to accept me –
SHE WAS RIGHT AND I WAS WRONG …
The rain had stopped
And the sun finally appeared –
I look up to her and I saw
The WOMAN I love –
The tearful look in her eyes was gone …
Her eyes we're now bright,
Her lips we're curved in a slight smile –
And then she was gone…
I looked up in the sky and see a rainbow…
Somehow, I think,
A rainbow can lead me to her –
And she, too,
Would love me back…
