Hey here is the new story I hope you enjoy it.
Rick O'Connell stood still in the darkened tunnel as shuffling noises surrounded him. It had been nearly 8 years since Hamunaptra and he still had nightmares about it. Rick quickly pulled out his gun and turned around shoving spider webs out of his way as he did. He grabbed a torch as he walked further into the tunnel, listening out for any strange noises.
Rick heard a noise from around the corner, he quickly looked around the corner but there was nothing there. Rick breathed a sigh of relief as he turned around only to come face to face with a young child.
Both screamed as the child fell away from each other, the child getting knocked onto his back with surprise.
Rick breathed a sigh of relief as his racing heartbeat started to slow.
"Alex"? Rick gasped out with a slight laugh as he put his gun away. Alex chuckled as he looked up at his dad.
"What were you thinking a mummy had come back to life"? Alex questioned as he stood up with his dad's help.
"I'll tell you a story some time". Rick replied as he pulled Alex. Neither he nor Alex's mother had told Alex the story of Imhotep and Hamunaptra, they had decided to wait until he was older.
"What are you doing down here? We told you to wait for us up in the temple". Rick said as Alex tried to interrupt him.
"But, dad I saw ..."
"No "buts". It's dangerous down here Alex".
"But I saw your tattoo".
"You saw what"? Rick asked after Alex had finally been able to get a word in.
"On a wall by the entrance. There's a cartouche just like it. With the pyramid and the eye and the two kings and everything". Alex rambled on excitedly, sounding just like his mother. Alex pulled Rick leather cuff off as he pointed to said tattoo.
"Really"? Rick asked as he smiled as Alex.
"Yeah". Alex nodded still excited by his small discovery.
"Okay, well, I'll be up to take a look at that in a minute. In the meantime, I want you to wait for us up there". Rick said as he pointed back towards the temple.
"But...but..."
"No, pick up your stuff, and we'll see you in up in the temple". Rick ordered as he turned Alex around by his shoulders.
"But..."
"Go". Rick ordered as he pointed back towards the temple again.
"And ... And what should I do"? Alex asked his dad as he started to walk back towards the temple.
"I don't know. Surprise me. Build a better mouse trap". Rick jokingly said as he turned around to go find his wife and her sister.
"Okay". Alex agreed as he ran off taking his father completely seriously.
"While you mother and aunt go and desecrate another tomb".

Katharine and Evy were dusting off the nearby wall when they heard a slither nearby grabbing both their attention. Just like Rick they both were still paranoid and had nightmares about Hamunaptra although out of them all Rick was most definitely the worst.
Katharine looked down when she felt a weigh on her foot. A snake was making its way across her foot slithering as it went.
"Go away". Katharine scolded as she kicked the snake away unknowingly in her husband's direction. Rick luckily ducked out of the way in time.
"Those are poisonous you know". Rick said as he looked at his wife and sister-in-law. Evy turned back to the wall to finish dusting while Katharine walked over to Rick.
"Only if they bite you". Katharine said as she walked over to the table they had set up as Rick carried a bunch of tools over to it.
"Was that Alex I heard just before"? Katharine asked as she looked up at her husband.
"Yeah he wanted to show me something. I swear the kid gets more and more like you everyday". Rick replied as he looked at his beautiful wife.
"What you mean more attractive, sweet, devilishly charming and has you wrapped around their little finger"? Katharine asked playfully as she smirked up at her husband.
"No, he's driving me crazy". Rick replied as he leaned over to kiss her.
"Now, where were we"? Rick asked as he pulled away and Evy walked over to the two. Rick walked over to the wall as Evy grabbed the tools near Katharine.
"Hammer and chisel". Evy said as she handed her brother-in-law the tools making Katharine chuckle. Rick held the tiny tool in his hand as he gave his wife and her sister an incredulous look.
"Oh all right, all right! Let's do it your way". Evy said as she threw her hands up in the air and Katharine handed Rick the crowbar.
"Thank you". Rick said as he shoved the crowbar into the crack of the wall and pushed until stone fell away from the rest of the wall.
Katharine grabbed a nearby torch and walked into the hidden room followed by Evy and Rick. Katharine looked around the room that was filled with mummified corpses while scorpions, spiders, skulls and other bones littered the floor.
"Ever since I had that dream this place is all I can think about". Evy said excitedly as she followed her sister.
"Yep and ever since you had that dream neither of us has had a decent night's sleep". Katharine groaned as she rolled her eyes. After Evy had, had her dream she'd continuously nagged Katharine about it until Katharine had finally been able to convince Rick to come back to Egypt and go to this temple.
Katharine stepped over the bones, scorpions and spiders until she reached the end of the room.
"I feel like I've been here before. Like we'd both been here before". Evy said as she gave Katharine a look which earned her an eye roll. Evy full heartedly believe that what Dr Bey and Ardeth had said about Katharine being the reincarnation of Queen Tia but Katharine on the other hand had refused to believe it.
"Eves no one's been here in at least 3,000 years except for these guys and don't even think of mentioning any of that reincarnation crap". Katharine called out to Evy as she looked at the torch holder on the wall.
"So you believe in Mummy's but you can't possibly bring yourself to believe that maybe, just maybe you are truly the reincarnation of Tia"? Evy asked her sister as she joined her at the wall. Rick laughed as he also joined them. This subject had been brought up a lot over the years and it always amused him.
"No". Katharine mumbled as she pulled the holder down making a secret passage way open up to the side of her.
"Then how do you seem to know exactly where you're going". Evy asked smugly as Katharine threw her a dirty look over her shoulder.
Katharine walked in front of the three of them as they walked through and searched the tunnels. Katharine walked into a room when a dizzy feeling came over her and the room changed around her.
The walls had turned gold with ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs all over the walls. She quickly turned around in a circle until a noise from the front of the room grabbed her attention. The golden door opened as two young girls walked out but Katharine couldn't see either of their faces.
Katharine watched closely as one of the girls closed the door before spinning the lock pulling it out before spinning it clockwise twice and then spinning it counter clockwise once before she pushed it back in. Katharine watched as the two girls started to turn around before her husband walked through them making the room go back to the way it was when Katharine had first entered.
Evy looked back at Katharine as she watched her look around quickly as she swung the torch from side to side. Rick also looked back at his wife worriedly as her eyes were wide in disbelief.
"You know if you move that fast enough you can almost write your name". Rick said as Katharine's attention turned back to her husband and sister.
"You just had a vision didn't you? Like my dream". Evy babbled excitedly as she walked up to Katharine who looked at her before shaking her head.
"No"! Katharine denied as she joined her husband at the door where he was unsuccessfully trying to pry the door open.
"Oh come on, it's like you're actually here during ancient times". Evy said as she laughed at her sister.
"Sweetheart if you actually were here, could you help me open this thing"? Rick puffed out in exhaustion. Katharine glared at him before handing Evy the torch and repeating what the girl did before (she refused to call it a vision).
The door unlocked with a puff of dust from being closed for so long as Rick look at Katharine with wide eyes.
"All right, now you're starting to scare me". Rick said as he watched her.
"Now I'm starting to scare myself". Katharine said as she looked at Rick with equally wide eyes. Evy decided it would be best to stay quiet as she could see that Katharine really was freaked out.
Katharine, Evy and Rick walked into the room where to guards stood at the end of the room near a bench with a chest sitting on top. Katharine walked over to it and wiped the dust and cobwebs away from the sceptre.
"My god. That's the emblem of the scorpion king". Katharine gasped in disbelief as she looked at it.
"He's supposed to be pure myth. No ... No trace of him has ever been found before. No artifacts, no archival evidence". Evy said excitedly as she looked at the emblem.
"Eves it was the same with the Hom-Dai". Katharine said as she bushed the dust off the top of the chest.
"Maybe they didn't want anybody to find him". Rick agreed with his wife. The last time they'd found something that wasn't supposed to exist he'd nearly lost her after only having just found her again.
"Let's open this". Katharine said as she looked for a way to open it.
"I don't know Kat, I don't have a good feeling about this". Rick said as he rolled his eyes slightly. The archaeologist in his wife was showing.
"It's only a chest no harm ever came from opening a chest". Evy argued
"Last time I said something like that you ended up waking the dead". Katharine said distractedly.
"Yeah no harm ever came from opening a book and we all remember how that one turned out". Rick agreed as he watched his wife study the chest.
"I can't stop now". Katharine said as she looked up at her husband with wide excited eyes.
"Well just remember, I was the voice of reason here". Rick replied as he smiled and handed the crowbar to his wife who smiled back at him before turning back to the chest.
"Just this once". Evy grimaced as she looked at the crowbar in her sisters hands.
Rick watched as Katharine tried to pry open the chest with no results. He looked at the guard that was in front of him and noticed a chain wrapped around his neck with a little emblem on the chain that looked suspiciously like the lock on the door.
"Hon! Let's do it your way". Rick said as he swung the chain from side to side in front of Katharine. Katharine smiled coyly as she grabbed the chain from his hand and put the crowbar on the ground. Evy walked back over to the two from where she was searching the room when she heard the chest open.
Katharine opened the lid and stifled a gasp when she saw what was inside.
"The bracelet of Anubis". Katharine whispered in awe as she pulled it out of the box to look at it closer. The room suddenly shook as a rumble echoed throughout the room, nearly making the trio lose their balance.
"Whoops". Katharine mumbled as she threw the bracelet back in the chest.
"It's a bit late for that isn't it"? Rick shouted as he looked at his wife who quickly picked the chest up and handed it to Rick.
"Put it in your rucksack". Katharine ordered.
"Go, go find Alex". Katharine quickly yelled out to her sister who nodded and ran out, unknowingly only a few paces behind a guy that had snuck on them a few moments ago and was about to shoot them.
"I got a better Idea let's leave it here". Rick yelled.
"It's a bit late for that". Katharine shouted back at him as he finally grabbed the chest from her hands.
"What does it say"? Rick asked as Katharine struggled to read.
"He who disturbs this bracelet shall drink from the Nile". Katharine translated before she looked up at her husband with wide eyes.
"Oh my god". Katharine whispered moments before water broke through the wall of the temple.
"Rick quickly put the chest into his rucksack before grabbing Katharine's hand and running out of the room only for a wall of water to be rushing for them. Rick quickly pulled his wife to the side just barely missing the water.
~*Break*~
The guy with the knife had just knocked one of the beams that was holding the scaffolding (that Alex was standing on) up and had made his way out of the temple when Aunt Evy had made her way out of the tunnels.
"Alex"! She called out for him.
"Aunt Evy"! Alex yelled out panicking as the scaffolding started to tip over.
"Oh my god. It'll be alright sweetheart". Evy gasped out at the sight of her nephew in danger as she looked around for anyway to get him off the scaffolding.
~*Break*~
Rick pulled Katharine down the corridor they were in the water on their heels unfortunately they came to a dead end so Rick quickly wrapped his arms around his wife as the wall of water hit them straight on.
~*Break*~
"ALEX"! Evy screamed as the scaffolding fell over with Alex still on top of it. The scaffolding hit a pillar making the pillar fall down. Evy quickly rushed over to the wreckage to find that Alex had grabbed onto the first pillar and had slowly made his way down it. Evy quickly wrapped her arms around him as they both looked at the pillars knocked down in a circle around them.
"Whoa". Alex gasped while Evy looked around the room feeling a sense of déjà vu.
~*Break*~
Katharine and Rick had gone to the top of the tunnel as they tried to breathe in as much air as possible.
"This s bad Kat". Rick gasped out from beside his wife.
"We've had bad plenty of times before". Katharine gasped out as she spit water from her mouth. She was hoping against hope that they'd make it out of this.
"This is worse". Rick replied as he looked to his wife who was desperately holding onto the bars above their heads. He put his hand on her cheek making her look at him. If it wasn't from her red eyes and trembling lower mouth he wouldn't have been able to tell she was close to crying.
"I love you" he told her for what he was sure would be the last time.
"I love you too". Katharine gasped as Rick was pulled under the water, Katharine following a few minutes later
~*Break*~
Alex gasped when he noticed one of the fallen pillars was about to fall into the same wall he was telling his dad about before and quickly broke from his aunts hold.
"Alex come back here". Evy yelled as she followed him to see him vainly trying to hold the pillar up. Evy quickly pulled him away as the pillar broke the wall and a wall of water came rushing out from behind it followed quickly by a spluttering Katharine and Rick.
Alex quickly looked around at the destruction he'd caused before looking back at his parents.
"Mum, Dad, I can explain everything".
AN: Hey guys hope you enjoyed the first chapter of the second story. I know it was relatively short but I promise the next chapter will be much longer.
This story will probably be longer in chapters as it will be switching at times from Katharine to Alex so you can see how Alex and Imhotep interact. Since Alex is Katharine's child he will be a little nicer towards him and will protect him knowing Tia/Katharine would never forgive him if anything happened to her son.
Like with the first story I will be putting a link up so you can see what Katharine/Tia is wearing in the chapters. It will [probably be tomorrow though before the link is up
Please leave a review and tell me what you think.
