Lacrymosa

Category: poem, A
Spoilers: none
Summary: The nature of the man who took Luke Doggett away.
Disclaimer: No, not mine, and I wouldn't want him to be
either.
A/N: A dark piece, I suppose.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
What could he do with them all, the young man
With the fevered eyes and sharpened knife?
How does he decide when and where, which life
To snatch from open yards by the hand?
How could he stay hidden in the mysteries of time?
As agents search and hardened cops crumble
Knowing no child will from empty swing tumble
Abandoned baseball glove, unfinished rhyme.
Something, remorse or perhaps perverse pleasure
Must cast within him the will to lay bodies out
On the ground when they are still and make no sound.
From this, the release of pain in infinite measure.
Somewhere a cellar door closes, the night is so cold
And mystery over mystery remains unsolved.
