Thank you so much for reading my previous story! Ya'll really inspire me!
Special thanks to loritakitochan for reviewing and making me want to write another! Still a one-shot, but I DID write again!
I don't own Fruits Basket or any of the characters! (I'm just borrowing them!!!)
Please R&R!!!
When I was thirteen, I still had no idea what being a woman was all about. For instance, I did not know what would happen to my body during something called puberty, and my mother had also not said anything about 'The Birds and the Bees'.
So, I was an innocent, naïve girl in the presence of a perverted twenty year old novelist, a newly trained male doctor, and a shy man of about nineteen who did not want to hurt me in any way. Shigure was entertaining me one day in the gardens while Hatori was teaching Kureno about some first aid stuff in case something ever happened to me.
I was sitting in Shigure's lap while he read from his latest book. He never admitted to leaving out certain parts of it, and I still had yet to figure out what they were, but I still enjoyed the romance of it. But this day was different. I would figure out what he was skipping and why. I was a determined goddess.
"Shigure?"
"Nn?"
"Why do you always skip out on certain parts of your novel?"
He sighed deeply, and then chuckled, "Well my dear one. It's not very appropriate, especially for you."
"Oh. But why? What's in them?" I asked still stubborn.
"Tell me Akito, has your mother ever given you "The Talk"?" Silence. "No? Well, I think it's time for you to learn."
I looked up at him from my comfortable seat, ready to hear it.
I was now on the opposite end of the bench where we were sitting, mouth gaping open, eyes wide open in horror.
"And it…? Does it hurt?" I asked stupidly.
This certainly got a good laugh from Shigure.
"Not too…"
"Ahem." Shigure stopped mid-sentence and looked up at Hatori and Kureno who were both glaring at Shigure.
I looked up at the two of them, for the first time feeling knowledgeable, "And you knew this? And you didn't tell me why?" Kureno turned his hands over in hand washing motion nervously.
"Shigure, you may go now."
"But… He hasn't told me about…" I began. But Shigure was already leaving.
Hatori sighed, "Come on. We must talk this over to make sure that Shigure didn't twist everything around."
I mumbled an okay, and followed him out of the garden. Wow. I did learn a lot today.
