Johanna and the beggar woman

Deep down in London there lived a little girl, pretty as a rosebud she was. She is now 9 and is wondering about her father. Benjamin Towers, she knows nothing, and her mother won't tell her anything. The beggar woman knows much about the father, but tells for a price.

(Johanna runs into the beggar woman and she begs for change

Beggar woman: spare some change for one who doesn`t have any

(Johanna gives the woman some change)

Beggar woman: oh, thank you dearie! Hey, why so glum for a child who has change to give.

Johanna: I would love to know about my father. You see I'm Johanna towers.

Beggar woman: ah, you mean Benjamin Towers, quite a well-known young man was he.

Johanna: you know about my father

Beggar woman: ah, I knew that man quite well, but I'm not talking to a child with mischief on her mind!

Johanna: I will not give any mischief nor unwanted visits.

Beggar woman: I`ll tell you about your father! But it's going to cost you darling!

Johanna: I`ll give anything to know of my father!

Beggar woman: all right! It will cost you a penny a day dearie!

Johanna: yes, I`ll accept the proposal.

Beggar woman: well, dearie let's start with a simple look explaining. Your father was a charming man, nice brown hair like rich chocolate. He was a pale, young man he was. He would always where a nice clean jacket. Your father was most anxious when you were coming, he was so excited to be a father. Now, that's enough for today don`t you think so love.

Johanna: no, I must know more!

Beggar woman: I have giving you enough for a day dear!

Johanna: ah, yes I must hit the market for my mum anyway, goodbye miss

Beggar woman: yes, goodbye love!

(The next day and Johanna comes to see the beggar woman)

Beggar woman: now, your father was a horse keeper, and he was beautiful he was! All the women wanted to be his love. But, he would always be for your mother. She would play with him let him admire her it took a few years till she fell in love with him but they were in deep love. Well, that's enough goodbye love.

Johanna: Goodbye misses.

(The next day)

Beggar woman: I have only certain things to tell. How he died. He was with the horses and then some horses saw something went into panic and when all was done he was… well, dead.

Johanna: And that was it, he was dead. Well, thank you, miss you never did tell your name.

Beggar woman: well, you will be surprised. My name is….. Lila… Towers.

Johanna: Tell how that is possible!

Lila: your father was married to me long before he met your mother. Don`t feel ashamed. Your mother does not know. Do not tell. She will feel broken she will!

So, Johanna lived keeping the secret and some day as a young lady she died in the same accident of her father she was only of 17. What the horses had always seen was the beggar woman which was never to be discovered.
