Really short oneshot about a couple that we can't keep apart.
Surprisingly, I was capable of giving this one a happier ending than I have in the past.
Hope you enjoy it!
She Let Her Guard Down in the Morning
She let her guard down in the morning, lowered her shield to the world. She listened calmly to her wake-up call of chirping birds and bugs. She waited patiently as a fresh dwindling breeze lingered on her smooth skin, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its silent wake.
Blinking her brilliant eyes to adjust to the fragile light streaming in through her expensively curtained windows, nothing particularly striking crossed her mind.
Like I said before, she let her guard down in the morning.
She turned over once, enjoying the tranquility of the moment as it passed, pleased the day had yet to come and knowing right now nothing was happening.
She rested her long, lean arms above her wavy hair. The aromatic scent of her raspberry perfume drifted lazily across the room over to me, filling my nostrils with its intoxicating pleasure.
She stretched her lengthy legs, testing their willingness to leave. She grimaced slightly at the thought of leaving her comfy bed.
I watched silently not wanting to disturb her, knowing she'd be angry if I didn't do something soon. As she rolled carelessly onto her side, the covers slid slowly off of her. She reached out for them as their warmth left her soft skin.
She groaned once, opened her chocolate eyes, and stared momentarily at the lofty ceiling. Then, half asleep, she peeled herself from the bed she wanted so desperately to stay in.
Stretching for a moment, she yawned as she set out on a journey towards the door.
Little did she know what would accost her along the way.
She didn't notice me coming, as I took her round her tiny waist tightly and threw her back onto our bed.
I held her thin wrists, gazing into her cinnamon eyes. She smiled sweetly as I graced her neck with soft kisses.
Giggling softly she found my lips with hers. My head spun endlessly as she colored my world.
We broke apart as the bliss came to a gentle end. I saw the happiness continue in her enchanted eyes.
Suddenly, realizing the time, her eyes averted toward the clock and widened impossibly.
"Draco, I'm late for work!" Hermione squirmed beneath me.
I stood upright. Floating across the room in a dream still dazed from her kiss, I hardly felt the pain tearing through my shoulder as I hit the door frame on my way out.
She was ecstasy, and I was hooked.
After she had finished readying herself, she shoved me roughly away as I tried to give her a ten second smooch goodbye.
"Bye," she grinned as she slammed the door.
I ran one hand through my clean hair, and with a shaky sigh, collapsed onto my black leather couch.
It was 12:30. I smiled to myself remembering our short time kissing earlier this morning and what she had become a few short seconds later.
After all, she only let her guard down in the morning.
