For Peridot and Lapis, it was another peaceful day at the barn. Recently they had finished the latest season of Camp Pineing Hearts. It was such a good season finale that Peridot was making so many theories of what the next season would hold.
"Do you think they might have new campers next season?" Peridot asked Lapis as she was sitting down and reading a scientific book on oceans. Lapis shrugged her shoulders while not putting the book down. "Maybe, I guess you'll have to just wait and see".
Peridot walked over and looked at the book that Lapis held in her hands. "When did you started getting interested in books about earth?" Peridot asked.
This time Lapis lowered her book away from her face and looked at Peridot. "Oh this, Steven bought it for me. Ocean life on earth is very fascinating," she answered Peridot's question.
"I was wondering, do you want to go out and explore? I've only ever been to parts of earth for a short time when I used to be on the run from the Crystal Gens and Steven back in the day," Peridot said.
Lapis sat up and put the book down on the chair she had been sitting down on. "Sure, I could use the fresh air," she replied, making Peridot pleased.
Both of them walked out of the barn together, smiling at each other. Peridot hanged onto Lapis's hands as she flew over the forest. She wasn't looking very good. "Uh...Lapis is this a good idea to be flying above the forest at this height?" Peridot asked nervously as she tried not to look down.
"What? Your afraid of heights?" Lapis joked. Peridot didn't looked pleased. Peridot was quiet for a few minutes, but then spoke. "No, It's just that...I've never experienced flying like this before with someone different then me".
Both were silent was a few moments, Peridot and Lapis looked awkwardly blushing. "Do you want to go home? Had a enough of flying around with me today?" Lapis broke the silence and asked Peridot.
Peridot shook her head. "What for? I'd love it if you could saw me more. If...that's okay with you Lapis".
"That's fine by me, but maybe we should rest for a moment. My hands are getting tired from carrying you". Both of them laughed together as Lapis continued to fly with Peridot towards the ocean.
