Alone On Father's Day

Aaron Hotchner laided in his darkened bedroom; thinking about his past Father's Day. Thinking about the times he spent Father's Day with his deceased wife Hayley and Jack; and then the times he had to work on Father's Day while Jack stayed at his Aunt Jessica. Also during some Father's Day Aaron was able to spend some time with Jack; and that made Jack extremely happy. Hotch was brought out of his Father's Day thoughts by someone trying to get his attention. "Aaron?" the voice said again "Is everything alright?" Aaron then looked down at the woman in his arms; who was currently drawing patterns on his bare chest.

With a smile on his face Aaron said "Everything is fine Lindsay." "No it's not!" Lindsay Monroe countered immediately "something is going on in that pretty little head of yours"; as Lindsay said this she propped herself up on her elbow and looked deep into Aaron's eyes. Aaron and Lindsay met by chance while Aaron was on a case with his team in New York. One thing led to another and during Aaron's stay in New York with his team. Aaron and Lindsay started to frequently see each other; and by the time Aaron left New York Lindsay and Aaron got to know each other quite well.

They kept in frequent contact after Aaron returned to Virginia. A short time later when Lindsay came by to Aaron's home during a vacation she was able to get because back in the New York Crime Lab it was quite busy. Lindsay was grateful for the fact that even though the crime lab was busy her boss Mac Taylor allowed her some time off. But once Lindsay met Aaron's son Jack the two immediately hit it off and a strong bond was instantly formed.

"I was just thinking Linds" Aaron said hearing Lindsay laugh; he couldn't help but laugh himself as Lindsay said "I already know your thinking about something but what I'd like to know what were you thinking about." Deciding to confess what was on his mind "I was thinking about Father's Day that's all Lindsay nothing to worry about ok." After Aaron finished what he said he failed to notice that Lindsay's facial feathers turn into a smile. "What about Father's Day Aaron that has you thinking so much" Lindsay asks him. Well Aaron started to say before he had to clear his throat; I was just remembering all the times I spent Father's Day with my deceased wife Hayley and Jack; and then with Jack after Hayley's death, and then all the times I couldn't be with Jack on Father's Day because i was on a case.

Lindsay could hear how sad Aaron sounded it broke her heart. So she decided to change that and she also knew that Father's Day was officially over; because she didn't have time to give Aaron her gift. But she didn't care if Father's Day was over sure she and Jack took Aaron out for a nice dinner and spent some time as a family. Then as Father's Day was coming to a close Aaron and Lindsay dropped Jack off at his Aunt Jessica's house for a sleepover; so they could have sometime together alone. One thing led to another once they reached Aaron's house one thing led to another and Aaron and Lindsay couldn't keep their hands off each other; which led them to make love two times and now they were somewhat exhausted.

But that was all about to change when Lindsay turned on her bed side table light on causing Aaron to flinch at the brightness. Aaron could hear the bedside table drawer open and close. After Aaron's eyes finally adjusted to the brightness of the room. He saw Lindsay looking at him with a huge smile on her face and Aaron noticed something in Lindsay's hand; he was also curious at what it might be. "Lindsay what is that in your hand?" Aaron asked.

"Oh nothing Aaron" Lindsay said; she laughed even more after Aaron raised an eyebrow at her. "It's just a Father's Day card Aaron relax" Lindsay said as she handed him the card. "But it's not Father's Day anymore Linds" Aaron said back to her. "True" Lindsay started to say then added "well I wanted to give it to you earlier but a certain profiler couldn't keep his hands off me." "Hey no fair" Aaron countered it's not my fault you're so irresistible. Lindsay couldn't help but giggle and laugh causing Aaron to just roll his eyes as he sighed.

After Aaron said that he took the Father's Day card out of Lindsay's hand. "Happy Father's Day Aaron" Lindsay said. Aaron was still slightly suspicious of his girlfriend Lindsay Monroe's artillery motives. But all thought of that left Aaron's mind once he opened the card; and before he could read the inside of the card two pregnancy tests fell out. Aaron then picked up the two pregnancy tests and saw that they were both positive; by now Aaron completly forgot about getting to read the inside of the card.

With pure joy written across his face much to Lindsay's relief. Then Aaron said "Lindsay are you…?" All the while holding the two pregnancy tests in front of her. Lindsay laughed and said "Yes Aaron I am pregnant." Giving Lindsay a bear hug as he pulled away. "You don't know how happy you just made me Linds" Aaron said. "Oh really" was all Lindsay said. "Yes and I'll prove it right now" Aaron replied. Then no more words were said between the two of them; as Aaron made love to Lindsay four more times leaving both of them breathless and very tired.
