"Ginny and Ron, after breakfast I need you both to start putting the Christmas decorations up. Harry and Hermoine are coming before dinner to spend the holiday with us and I want the place to look nice," Molly Weasley told her children.
With discontented sighs the two redheads finished their breakfast and went off to do their chores.
"So Ginny, are you excited to see Harry?" Ron asked his little sister with a mischievous look.
"Yes, but not for the reason you think. I told you already, I've given up on him. If he hasn't noticed me by now he never will. He'll only ever be able to see me as your younger sister," Ginny replied with a huff.
"Good! He should see you as my sister and nothing more!" Ron exclaimed as he hung a wreath across the fireplace.
"Shut up Ron! I wouldn't be saying a word if I were you. What about Hermoine coming?" Ginny asked while lighting candles with her wand.
"Well I'm looking forward to seeing my friend, but not the arguments we'll have. At first they're fun but then she gets upset over a little thing and refuses to talk to me," he replied.
"Why is it that you find yourselves arguing?" Ginny asked though fully knowing the answer.
"Um...well...you see...but..." Ron stuttered.
"Would it have anything to do with you fancying her?" Ginny answered for him.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Ron stated as he fiddled with an ornament.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about Ron Weasley. She isn't going to stay around forever waiting you to tell her how you feel. At some point she'll be bound to move on with her life. Stop wasting bloody time and pull yourself together!" And with that Ginny turned on her heel to get presents to put under the tree.
