Hello. I'm The StarsInMyEyes, and this is my first fanfiction. I just had this idea for a one-shot, and thought it would be good for a first try.

Thank you for reading!

Enjoy...

Dr. Frank adjusted his hood on his jacket. It was an especially cold day in Antarctica, the coldest he'd experienced in his time there. Even though it was summer, Antarctica was no beach vacation.

He and his team were on a research expedition out in the frozen wasteland. Dr. Frank was just contemplating how good some warm coffee would feel when his assistant, Amanda, said "I'm pulling a reading."

"What is it?" Dr. Frank asked, moving to peer at her electronic device.

"Not sure. It's big- maybe some kind of solitary ice wall." She glanced at her compass. "A quarter mile west."

"Let's check it out." He informed the rest of the group about the change and they turned west.

A bit later, Amanda said, "Just up here."

Dr. Frank rounded a corner and peered out into the plains of ice. He gasped.

"What the…" Amanda whispered.

Sitting in the middle of the snowy landscape was the world's biggest ice sculpture that would've won awards in modern art. It appeared to be made of blue ice, mixed with what appeared to be black sand (how that was possible no one knew.) Its massive spikes curled up in an oval-like shape, like a gigantic claw rising from the ice.

After staring for a while, Dr. Frank finally said, addressing their photographer, "Louis, get some photos." He pulled out his radio. "Larry, this is John. You need to see this."

Jamie was sitting at the table eating breakfast with his mom one Saturday morning when she exclaimed, "Ha! Jamie, look at this." She handed Jamie the newspaper she was reading.

Jamie looked at the headline. It read, "Penguins? Or Something Else?" Beneath it was a picture of an enormous claw-like ice object in a barren landscape. The caption read;

"Researchers in Antarctica stumbled upon this strange creation in the middle of a frozen plain. An explanation for this abnormal creation has not been found."

Jamie tried not to laugh. He was pretty sure he know what the "something else" was.

"Mom, can I borrow this newspaper? I want to show m friends."

"Sure, Jamie."

"Thanks!" Jamie snatched the newspaper and ran up to his bedroom. His friend the Guardian, Jack Frost, had promised to visit that afternoon. Jamie had something to ask him.

When Jack showed up at Jamie's window, Jamie was reading the article for the third time and laughing.

"What's so funny?" the frosty teen asked.

Jamie ran over to the window. "Jack, do you have anything to do with this?" He handed Jack the newspaper.

Jack looked at the article, grinned, and then laughed so hard he fell through the window. "Looks like someone found the evidence of that fight Pitch and I had." He proceeded to laugh so hard tears came from his eyes.

Jamie collapsed onto the floor, laughing like he had been smothered in laughing gas. He and Jack laughed so hard that in a moment Jamie's mom yelled up, "Jamie, are you okay up there?"

Both boys momentarily stopped, quiet as mice. "Ummm… Fine?" Jamie shouted.

"Okay," his mom said uncertainly.

Then they resumed laughing.
