Aria glanced at her daughter sitting at one of the nearby tables. She felt bad that she was stuck in the library all day, especially during the Summer. But sitters were expensive, and Aria worked at a bookstore. The salary got them by, but she just had to be careful with spending. But Hazel didn't mind. Throughout the day, she read or talked to some of the other workers.
Aria sighed. Her dreams of becoming a writer were cut short when she got pregnant during her junior year. The timing was so convenient for Ezra to leave. He hadn't know that Aria was pregnant, but if he had stayed when people found out, a lot of people would have suspected something, especially Mike.
She didn't have time to feel guilty. Ezra was the one who had left. She continued to tell herself this everyday, but it would not be enough to get him off of her mind.
Just as she was about to leave for the day, she had one last order to complete. The customer set the book down on the counter in front of her. The Sun Also Rises.
This person has good taste. She looked up at the person, shocked when she saw familiar blue eyes.
Yeah, short, but it's a new story! Review!
