Prologue:
Ipswich, Massachusetts
October 15, 2006 9am
He watched as the Putnam barn smoldered in the early hours of the morning. His eyes moved from the firemen clearing the way to a guy and a girl standing by a silver mustang. After taking the cigarette he had been smoking out of his mouth tossing it on the ground he made his way over to them. His black boot glad foot putting the cigarette out as he walked over it. "I came to see If you needed any help but I can see and tell that you handled everything just fine." The guy, a tall muscular brunette man turned his head towards the man walking towards him. "Figured you would be either dead by now or at least look a lot older." The man, a tall blonde with little bit more muscle to him laughed and shook his head. "You know as well as I do that I can't die. I take it that was Putnam's child?" the brunette nodded his head. "They can't find the body." The blonde surveys the area around them. "Don't worry, you'll get the chance to finish him off." The redheaded girl looks between the two before she goes over the blonde. The man is about 6'ft, broad shoulder, muscular, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He had a sense of familiarity around him but she couldn't remember why. "So this is Morgana? My nephew has good taste." The red head looks between the blonde and the raven haired boy, he couldn't have been more than 21. "Caleb who is this guy?" Caleb smiled and put his arm around his girl. "This is Lucius…" "It's Lucas, Lucas Scott. You probably don't remember me since you haven't seen me since you were about five years old." Morgana's eyes opened wide in realization, of coarse, she was the man that her father talked about years ago. But that doesn't make sense, he looks so young, and healthy.
"So Lucas, not that I don't like seeing you, but what brings ya here?" He just smiled and laughed. "Well my dear niece and nephew it appears that there is going to be a wedding down in Tree Hill, and its not an unholy matrimony." "What are you talking about Luke?" Lucas took out a cigarette and lit it up. After taking a long drag from hit he looked at his niece and nephew and smiled. It had been years since he saw Morgana and she grew up to be a fine young woman, with shoulder length red hair and bright green eyes. Caleb resembled his father when he was young but without the addiction. He had short black hair and deep brown eyes. They fit well together just like he said they would all those years ago. "Julian is getting married to Brooke, to settle the debt her father owes mine." The two just looked at Lucas wide eyed. "wait if its in order to pay the debt then why doesn't she marry you or Nathan?" "Nathan is already married to Haley, vampire he meet back in Italy around the Renaissance." Morgana looked at him for a second. "but what about you?" though she knew her question was bold, she had to ask it. "He can't, he broke their rules so he's no longer considered a member of there family." Lucas finished his cigarette and put it out. Nodding his head at Caleb. "Always knew you'd be the smart one out of your friends." "So that still doesn't explain why you're here?" "I'm here because I want to stop this." Caleb looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "and because I need your help. So you two in?" The couple looked at each other and smiled. "Hey if its party crashing, I'm always in and I'm sure Caleb here wants to help" Lucas smiled and nodded his head. "I'll be in touch." Lucas walked away and back to his Chevelle. They watched as he drove away and just like that his car disappeared off the road. The black Chevelle appeard a few minutes later passing a sign that read, "Welcome to Charming, California"
